I registered at both-Macy's for our fine china, flatware, stuff like that...BBB for baking pans, bathroom scales, ice bucket, hampers, etc- everyday stuff for our home. I did BBB online and Macy's in person because I wanted to be sure of our china pattern!

I did BBB bc while they have the same stuff BBB always has 20% off so there stuff is cheaper..where as Macys when not on sale is a lot more (I was registered at both and my place settings were so much more money at MACYS then BBB) hth

I actually registered at both and hate macys! there prices are much more for the same thing, the people who work there are useless and nasty.

BBB takes a coupon for everything! no matter what it is, and the people who work there actually have a clue! the prices are reasonable, and you can even used expired coupons.

the only + macys has going for it is that for every $ people spend on registry items you get a percentage of the sale on a gc at the end. we got one for almost $200. but IMO all the trouble I went through with them was not worth it.

they both do a completion program at the end and send you a certificate for a percentage off for the stuff still left on your registry. macys offers a 20% off and BBB offers a 10%. both can be used on sale items. macys will call you when your stuff is on a great sale, again IMO is annoying! they also gave out my phone # to a lot of vendor that I did not say they could do. So I got a ton of sales calls on my cell phone every single one said they got my name from Macys

Also at BBB they offered a lot of help picking the items and will walk around with you. they will also let you come to the store to register when the store is closed at night and in the morning if you can't get there when its open. We had the guy help us a little and he knew soooo much about all the products. macy's just gave us a scanner and let us be.

oh one more thing. BBB didn't have any china in store (or at least the one I went to) not even on display. it was all in a book. so everything had to be ordered. but with the lower price and the coupon + shipping it still came in cheaper then macys reg. price

def go with BBB. Personally I hated what Macys had to offer. I also would rec. you going to target. I returned a ton to BBB and went to Target and got so much more in for the money.
