Rehearsal Dinner Question again...

We're not sure what we're doing about the dinner yet, but I was wondering if you girls thought it was necessary to include beer in your dinners if it's at a restaurant? I really don't think it's necessary, because I don't want everyone getting drunk the night before, and we'll be paying for their drinks the next day! It'll save us money, and if they want beer or anything there's a bar right there for them to get drinks. What do you think? Is this being rude? I really don't think it is! Thanks!

Rehearsal Dinner Question again...

If you can't afford to do it, don't. I would understand if I was one of your BM. In the grand scheme of things, is it really that important that you served beer at your dinner?? If people remember you didn't serve beer rather than about what it's all about, then IMO that's pretty shallow. You might want to look into the option of getting a keg, and only offering that to your guests.

Rehearsal Dinner Question again...

You know your guests best. Do they usually have a glass of beer or wine when they are out to dinner? If you cant swing a dinner you may want to consider a lunch or brunch where beer/wine would not be expected.
