We are looking for a restuarant with a private room for approximately 40 people. Any recommendations?

Look into Danfords. I believe they have a room for small parties.

Printer's Devil was wonderful!!

We had our rehearsal there on 9/1 and everyone loved it! The food was so good and we had the private room for about 35 people. I had posted an earlier review on this board a few weeks ago. If you have any questions, I'd be happy to help. Michele

Try Danford's, it's beautiful there. You are overlooking the LI Sound and right in the village. Also try Dockside. They are also right in the village and have an upstairs room with a great waterview. If you are planning for a warmer weather dinner try the Martha Jefferson dinner cruise boat. It leaves from the Danford's dock. Good luck!

I got married at Danford's 10/14/01. WHile I was happy with everything overall, the wait staff was horrible. Most of them didn't speak a word of English. I wasn't to happy with the management either. My bridal shower was at the Printer's Devil and it was wonderful. Great service and great food. And the separate room up front was so nice. We had our rehersal dinner accross the street from Danford's (Portofino???). Also very good. Out of the three I would recommend the Printer's Devil the most.
