Have you looked at the stresses and delemia of the brides of the next 3 years?

I think it is probablly what we were thinking about when we started planning... but there are so many stressing threads on the BHB page,, it makes me laugh that they are concerned about their weddings that seem so far off! I know that this was us back in the 06/07 years!

OMG I think the same thing when I read some of these- last week I saw one that was freaking about flowers, and I literally LOL, I am 2 months away & havent booked yet and I am far less stressed than she was--- and I dont mean to make fun and I know each person takes things differently- but you do have to have a little perspective- like if everything isnt perfect does that mean your marriage will fail- of course not...

isn't it interesting to see how NUTS some brides think of.

i've seen some doozies over the years---it always gets more interesting as time goes by.

of course hindsight is 20/20--but i'm sure 04, 05ers thought the same as us 07ers...but still--its funny

I wish I was as prepared as some of the 09, 10 girls. It seems they have items checked off their list than I do.

ditto...if they find shoes (or other things from now), you know that in 6 months or 12 months or 18 months they will post:

'I found something else that I love even more than what I first bought, so what should I do now...'

Me too. I still have no flowers yet....2 months away..ah well...there's always the local supermarket I guess....

Yes, but what if they change their minds in 2-3 years...why rush to do it now?
I am getting married in Nov & didn't even book by photo guy yet. LOL
I did get 3 quotes though...just have to pick one.

Also, don't have limos yet either.

totally agree!! I think they are most likely excited but they are getting ahead of themselves

I actually finished most of my planning before my year mark. I had everything booked, bought or at least picked out. So some people are just like that, and more than likely if they are already on LIW this long before their wedding they have that kind of personality, you know?

As for stressing over silly stuff, I am sure we all did it. Some of it IS a little ridiculous but I remember crying because my cousin wanted to have her huge 40th birthday party the weekend before my wedding - so I *REALLY* cant judge.

No worries, I just booked my florist this past Thursday and I'm so happy with her

yea and about weather too for 2010?

there are plenty of brides on all the boards that worry about things ( including myself ) that in hindsight are SO not a big deal. the closer i get , the less time i have to worry about things that are so minute in the grand scheme of things.

I also noticed a trend with some brides that they cannot make a decision about ANYTHING on their own, they constantly need LIW feed back. if YOU like it, who cares what everyone else thinks ? JMO

I just worry that if brides (of any year) are that worried about every little detail, then if/when something goes wrong, they will be devastated.
I, of course, want everything to go well, but if it doesn't, I honestly have the attitude that 'it is what it is and I can't change it so just enjoy'

I've had a lot of people in my life recently that are very sick, died, havings surgery, etc and it puts everything in perspective, things will happen and yes, it's a very special day, but it still is one day and I feel bad that people are so stressed and make themselves sick for one day.

Sheeeh!! They are all nuts!! None of us EVER did any of that
