Reveal near CHCC in Woodbury

Any ladies doing their reveal not at the catering hall? Everyone keeps telling me I will get more pictures doing a reveal somewhere else where there is no time limit/other weddings going on. Did anyone feel rushed at CHCC or go somewhere else?

Do you know of any pretty areas around there for a potential reveal?

We are absolutely taking every picture there. I'm not sure what your plans are, but we are getting married at CHCC. We will be taking advantage of the two hours before our ceremony and I think this will allow for plenty of time. There are so many photo opportunities there!

Thanks Ro! That is what I want to do! I dont want to add another location and complicate things! The only thing that was pointed out was you dont truly get 2 hours b/c a 1/2 hour before your ceremony they pull you away so guests can't see you? Even so 1 and 1/2 hours is alot of time plus some during cocktail hour! :)

yes! i am doing it downtown northport. but it's because we want to, not because our hall doesnt give enough time.

Not to hijack the thread, but I too would be interested in hearing where others are doing the reveal.

We were banking on doing all the photos (reveal too obviously) at CHCC, but now we're playing with the idea of doing additional photos elsewhere.

We are doing photos at Old Westbury Gardens for our first look then doing some more photos at Fox Hollow during cocktail-that way we have some nice sunset shots as well :)

I don't love to hear that!! I guess I'm still happy with the hour and a half but I wish they just said we get the hour and a half. I also don't love that they kind of tell you where you can and cannot take your photos based on other brides. I guess that's what comes with having a venue that has more than one wedding at a time, but I loved CHCC and don't even care!

I plan on taking all of our pictures there because I don't want to deal with the headache of finding a place. CHCC has beautiful grounds and, heaven forbid, a beautiful lobby in case it rains that day. Like the PP said, if you get there 20 min early, so what!? They'll probably be thrilled to see a wedding party arrive on time.

It's definitely an additional headache finding a site for photos. I mean, it's great that we have CHCC to fall back on, but we're still interested in hearing all our options.
