Ring Resizing Help

I have recently lost alot of weight and my ring is definitely big. I went to the jeweler here and they told me to hold off on resizing it in case I wanted to solder my wedding band to my engagement ring. So I am going to hold off on getting it resized.

I needed my engagement ring with platinum band resized from a 7 to a 6.25/6.5. The jewelry store where the ring came from wanted the ring from Tuesday to Friday to have this done. My future mother in law recommended a jeweler she has been going to for a long time. He is located in the diamond district on W47th St in Manhattan. His name is Aladj and he was absolutely fantastic. He resized my ring in about 20 minutes, right in front of me, the ring never left my site and there is not the slightest trace that the ring was resized.
