FH and I are in the process of booking our honeymoon (yay!) and while planning I got to thinking -- should I bring my engagement ring and wedding band on the trip??
We're going to Bali and while part of me can't imagine going on my HM without my rings, the other part of me thinks I would be crazy to bring them and risk losing them! A good friend of mine bought a cheap plain silver band that she wears when she travels and I thought I might do something like that.
What are you gals doing? Are you bringing your wedding rings on your HM?

I'm buying a fake set for my honeymoon. There's no way I'm bringing either one. I feel like it would either get lost in the sand or water at the beach, or get stolen in the hotel room.

As much as I would love to wear my rings...I'm not taking them...i'm buying some fake cubic ziconia's for like $25 to wear not to feel naked,but then i wont worry if they are left in the safe or if i wear them and god forbid it like slips off in the pool or something i wont cry.

me and FH were just discussing this yesterday. i have a fake set and wore the fake e-ring on a cruise last year you couldnt even tell it was fake so i was just gonna wear the fake set then we realized since were moving out of state before the wedding and the wedding is NY i really dont have a choice but to take my good real rings on the HM becuase if i leave my real rings home i wont be coming back to NY till atleast Nov and i dont wanna have our first month of marriage to be without our wedding bands. i'm just going to be extra careful plus all these hotels have safes in the room now so you can always lock it up when your in the water or something like that

I'll be sad to leave my rings at home but we will be in the water so much and my e ring is kinda loose as it is that I don't want to risk it. Maybe I'll just wear the wedding band since it's tighter...not sure!

fh and I had cheaper wedding bands made at tricounty and bought a smaller engagement ring from kays to bring on the honeymoon and whenever we go away or go fishing etc. My friends husband lost his on the honeymoon because he wasnt used to wearing it

I wore my rings on my honeymoon. The hotels in Hawaii and the stateroom on our cruise all had safes. So, when I was going out for like...anything active, swimming, snorkeling...I left them in the safe. But it was so nice to have them on for like, nights out and meals.

the one thing I will say about worrying about leaving it somewhere- its almost impossible...my whole entire trip I was SO AWARE of my rings!! Since the band is new, and I was wearing them together for the first time, I was just always thinking about them. BUT I will say that I didn't go in as much as the hot tub with them on. They stayed in the safe whenever we went somewhere either off the boat on the cruise, or with some kind of activity in Hawaii.

I'm wearing mine on my HM.. I bought a fake set a while back because I was nervous about this issue, but I ended up going to the DR for a week and just wearing my ring.. It was fine, didn't lose it or get it stolen

i will be bringing both of them with me on the cruise. i will leave them inthe safe on our cruise ship room when we go to our excursions and i will put them back on for dinner at night

I am definitely not bringing my rings...I'll buy a fake set thats still pretty but I would just die if I lost them especially in Aruba where I would never find them again! Omgosh it makes me sick even thinking of losing them! ahh

FH and I discussed getting him a plain travel band, and the same for me

I'm not sure... as much as I would be worried about them and understand the thought process behind the fake rings, I don't think I could leave my real rings at home. I want them to experience the honeymoon too.

I took my real e-ring on vaca last year..I never take it off and fits well, I had no issues
I would never ever ever ever take it off and leave it in the hotel room, even if it was in a safe...I dont take my ring off ever anyway, except if im cleaning
i think if your ring fits you well, take it...you can lose the ring just as easily home in NY as you could on a vaca
show those bad boys off and take them with you!

We already have a cheaper set, but I haven't decided yet what we'll do. I may just wear it and leave it in the safe when we're out doing active stuff.
