royal carribean or carnival?? your thoughts??

hiddy ho neighbors (kermit the frog fan) i'm looking for opinions adn thoughts.. We are currently considering a RC cruise for part of our honeymoon.. but the pricing on the carnival is soo much better!!!

we just came back from carnival (fh's 1st cruise) and personall i thought my previous cruise 7 yrs ago on RC was way better!! But i'm wonderin if it might be better on a bigger boat?

any thoughts?

I've been on both. Carnival once (that was enough for me) Royal Carribean numerous times. Hands down.... Royal Carribean is better. Call Crucon.com . That's who I always use... they have the best price in my opinion.

I was just on the Carnival Imagination and had a great time. I've been on RC Soverign of the Seas and it was a horrible experience. Staff was rude, food was gross and the rooms were small. My family uses Carnival alot so after RC they talked me into trying Carnival and Im glad I did.

I booked Carnival Destiny,, Anyone sail on that ship?

I just went on this cruise in may and it was absolutely amazing!!! The ship is in great shape for its age and the ports are absolutely wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!! If you need advice on excursion, FM me and i'll give you a rundown of what I did!

FH and I did carnival last year and we loved it soooo much that we decided to go on atleast 1 every year.... in 2 days im taking Carnival destiny cant wait

I've never cruised but we are doing RC for our honeymoon. My girlfriend just came back from a RC cruise and she could not stop raving. She said it was clean, the service was amazing - you did not wait for anything. The food was great and there was ALWAYS something to do. She also said the beds were so comfy and the spa was incredible!

I would deffinity go with RC. I had a great time with them but if you want to go with carnival because it's cheaper remember that you get what you pay for.

oh no i booked Carnival... now im worried. Ive never been on a cruise before...

you have nothing to worry about! FH and i went on a carnival cruise and had an AWESOME time. i mean...it's not really about the other people...it's about having fun with whoever you're there with!! you will have a blast. FH and i went to tons of shows...x-rated hypnotists, comedians, etc. it was great!!!!

I've been on both and while RC is more upscale and better quality, Carnival is more fun. On one cruise I went on with my parents to Alaska on RC, I was the ONLY nonworker under the age of 35 older than 18. I guess you have to decide whats more important to you and FH. Good luck . . . I'm sure that either one will be great . . . it's your HM!

I went on a GREAT Carnival cruise last year: Valor in May from Miami.

The ports were interesting (Western Carribean), the ship was brand new & huge...the comedy shows were very funny (especially the ones late at night), there were tons on young people everywhere, lots of honeymooners. The restaurants were phenomenal...food and service was great.

I haven't been on RC. I want to go...but HONESTLY: things are what you make of them...like a prev poster said: you can always look at another ship & find something yours doesn't have.

We had FUN on Carnival. We would have had a great time on RC too.

Thank you girls for the carnival praises.. I guess the bright side is even if the ship blows, at least we stop at a port everyday so we can always escape

I've been on several cruises- Carnival, RC-2x and will be going again in January, Princess and Celebrity...

IMO-Carnival vs RC- we liked RC better- nicer rooms, better service, better food, we enjoyed the entertainment. The carnival cruise we went on was for new years eve- and we had a great time- but there were A LOT of kids- a lot of teenagers-we did not like the pool area at all either

Carnival's new fleet is gorgeous, we went on the Carnival Liberty and the room was big and beautiful. Almost all the outside rooms had a baclony.Their older ships arent as nice though.
