Re: ROYALTON BRIDES
The Royalton at the Roslyn Country Club in Roslyn Heights. They don't have a website yet because they recently renovated the place and it is fairly new. I saw an ad for the place in the wedding sites and services mag.
Congratulations...I looked there but they were a little out of my price range...I would have loved to have my wedding there. Congrats! I forget the guy's name I met with but he was super nice and funny - seems like he's good at what he does. Good Luck!

Theres one more out there that I know about thats having a Royalton reception...nice to know there are actually a few of us--and one that looked but was out of the price range!! Seems like almost everyone that looks at it books it or wants to! Good news for us.

Re: ROYALTON BRIDES
Is anyone having their ceremony there? What does the ceremony set up look like. I've only seen pictures and I'm concerned that the room will look bare. What does the Royalton provide and how much of it comes from the florist? I saw one picture where there was a small table and two columns in the front of the room...

Hi! I rarely post on this board, but I am having my reception at The Royalton on Saturday, September 16. I am so excited! Glad to see there are several of us on here.

Re: ROYALTON BRIDES
Hi...when I went to look at the Royalton the room was set up for a ceremony that night...it was GORGEOUS! Did not look bare at all! I guess it depends on what you have your florist do though. The florist being used that day was Spitz and Peck. That was another problem to me with the Royalton - you have to use one of 2 florists there and from what I've heard they are just about the most expensive florsists in Nassau County! But really - the flowers that day were so pretty. You won't be disappointed in the set up of the room for the ceremony. I was worried not seeing it set up for reception b/c I thought it would be too small for me - that the tables would cut into the dance floor too much not leaving enough room to dance. I'm inviting close to 275 and hoping to have bet. 225 and 250. The guy at Royalton told me he could fit that many but I wasn't sure he could....how many people are you all having? You are all very lucky - that place is gorgeous! Although I'm very happy with my selection too : ) Cute that you get to stay overnight there with butler service - how fun!

Re: ROYALTON BRIDES
I saw pix the day we signed the contract. Thay had a tv in the room that was playing a slide show with various pix. I would like to see the ceremony set up and take my own pics to show my friends and fam but I don't know when the next ceremony wedding is since the holidays are approaching....
I'm so happy that FH and I chose this place. I get more excited every day!!

Re: ROYALTON BRIDES
I'm having about 175 guest so there would be enough room. Although the mandatory florist thing had me worried too. I want to see the ceremony set up so that I can get an idea of how much floral help would be needed- hopefully not alot. My florist budget is not going big...
The butler service and overnight suite is really cute. Saves us the trouble of going elsewhere at the end of a long day.

Re: ROYALTON BRIDES
How bout we all go to Royalton and protest the mandatory florist together, considering Spitz and Peck and Stefan's are supposedly REALLY expensive!

The Royalton was beautiful but I was concerned that he listed all the dishes off the top of his head and had no menu to give us.

Re: ROYALTON BRIDES
That's what I liked best about Royalton...no menu handed to you saying pick 2 of these and 3 of these. I hate those types of places. I like a place that custom builds the menu to your taste....making basically whatever you ask for. My place does this as well...I loved that about Royalton and my place. I was annoyed with those menus they hand you that you can't stray from.

Re: ROYALTON BRIDES
I just have to say that I am so excited the Royalton thread is getting so much attention!! My cousin went to a wedding there and said everything was fantastic--she said there was so much food and everything(even foods she normally doesnt eat) were great. I cant wait!! I can just picture all of us crazy brides storming the Royalton to protest the flower situation....

Re: ROYALTON BRIDES
Are any of you guys planning on staying overnight there?? We are not. Thought it would be kinda weird with just us and this one other guy--but it was a nice option. We were going to try to negotiate that part because my cousins friend got the room for free! But we decided we didnt want to stay anyway. What about you guys?
