RSVP Date past (with vent and update on my friends babies)
Well as of yesterday our RSVP date has come and gone. We have 17 people that haven't responded. I already started sending emails and making a few phone calls. I don't think thats TOO bad but still frustrating nonetheless.
Thats not really the problem. What I'm upset about is that of this count, 2 of them are members of our BP (and 2 are their guest).
One of FH friends has decided he's not sure he can spend the $ on the plane ticket from FL and the misc expenses. Shouldn't he have thought about that a YEAR ago when FH asked him? I know I shouldn't complain because money is a BIG issue for a lot of people, but with under 30 days he probably should have said something SOONER!!!! The tuxedo place needs measurements ASAP.
I also need to get on the phone with my BFF and get an answer from her. It's my own fault on this because I didn't want to push her.
For those of you that don't remember, she gave birth to twins about 3 weeks ago- they were 2 months early and both under 2 lbs. From what she tells me they're doing really well. They are starting to gain weight and they were able to take the breathing tube out of one of them the other day for 5 hours. I completely understand if she doesn't want to come because she is pre-occupied with the babies, and I'll understand if she decides not to come because they're in the hospital.
We met with the florist on Wed and told them the dilemma. They said we have about a week or 2 need to give them a count of how many bouquets and boutteneirs we need. Hopefully we know SOON whats going on!!!!
