Rude Email from a Videographer!!!

We have been having a hard time finding a videographer that's within our budget ($2K). I emailed a vendor tonight after he sent me his starting prices of $4500 and I asked if there was anything he could do for $2K...this is what his email was:

If you compare our work (hopefully) you'll notice there's a big difference in what we offer our brides. If you don't see a difference then it doesn't really matter but we do provide not only a highly customized wedding film but also a really fun and unique experience (just as every wedding should be). We haven't created a production for $2K in over a decade. Honestly, I don't know anybody in the wedding film industry that can create something even approaching descent for $2K. Believe me I have a budget in my own personal life and work with different types of budgets every day. $2000 (In my opinion) will only provide you with someone who is brand new to the business, someone who creates very basic (cookie cutter) productions or someone who doesn't know what they're doing.

I can't believe how rude and disrespectful he was, I've had a ton of responses that have been, 'I'm sorry we can't do it for that price' but not this rant...ugh!!!

WOW!

He could have just said 'I am really sorry but we can't accommodate your budget' and maybe even 'Unfortunately I don't know of anyone in the industry who I could recommend at that price' but that was uncalled for rudeness!

Did you try Fade to Black?? His prices are really good and he's not cookie cutter (IMO)...

That was so effing rude!!!!

I met with a guy that did very nice artistic videos for $2400 if you are interested. He was very nice, polite and his work looked great. He is in Brooklyn though.

I met with Gil and he was really nice and I spoke to him for soo long! I didn't love the quality, it wasn't really HD and he didn't use the type of camera that I'm looking for..I work in TV so it's been really hard to find a vendor!!

wow that is unbelievable!!! he is pretty full of himself isn't he???!

i don't know who thomas paul uses but that was the only video i saw (and was a film major in college) and it looked great... not sure who he uses but it was under 2k

I liked Myther!!! I was ready to book with him but he wasn't available for our date!! His second shooter is booked so he's not willing to do it just with him...
