Sand Castle honeymoon.....
Let me just start by saying.....It might be free but not worth it!The hotel has a contract with a Polish travel company & all the guests other than my husband & I and 1 other SC couple were Polish, not that this is a problem. My problem was that everything was in Polish! Oh yeah not to mentioned every couple had kids, not a great place for a honeymoon!

Re: Sand Castle honeymoon.....
We also booked Italy, so that made up for the week in Greece. We also spent all of our time out of the Hotel. There is plenty to do one the Island.

Geeze... that's no good
I'm going there tonight to drop off a payment... gonna have to talk to them about this! I know another bride was saying that they were waiting for the contract to expire so that they could make some changes- I hope they do before I go!
Thanks for the heads up!

FH won't fly that far, so our honeymoon will be to sandals Antigua too! As far as the Greece, trip, I'm not wasting a free vacation so im still going. MoH and my mom are in competition to show who loves me more. I'll take the winner. Lol Jk!

Re: Sand Castle honeymoon.....
I just got back from the Crete honeymoon trip and it was absolutely amazing. Everything is free (minus the flight and any activities you want to do). If you do not take advantage of the trip you are crazy. Me and my husband had the most amazing time and were so appreciative of the opportunity for 7 FREE nights. Yes there are Polish people there as well as Americans. We had a great time playing water pole with the Poles and our fellow Americans. In addition, if you tell the Polish girls that you do not speak Polish, they will speak to you in English. With regards to the kids at the hotel, no matter where you stay there are children, unless it is adults only. There was like 10 kids there and shockingly they were all well behaved and had absolutely no affect on our time at the hotel. There is a beach, pool, and tons of activities, not to mention to die for food and deserts--the pasty chef is amazing. We got to meet three other Sandcastle/Floral Terrace couples and all had such an amazing time exploring the city together. Def do the trip!!!!! Oh and we had a great day tour to Elafonsie beach and we saw this really cool cave and a monestary. Samaria Gorge is really difficult hike, so unless you have good hiking shoes, I would maybe skip that day trip. My friends did the little train tours and they liked the Grand Canyon one the best! Hope this helps! Thanks Sandcastle for the wonderful memories!!!!

I don't know why someone would lie about that though....if anything SC is losing money by us actually taking the vacation...unless they're going by word of mouth?

If the average wedding costs $40,000, with most wedding costing more, and SC has a package/connection/ownership with the hotel in Crete, they can't be losing money...
