anyone going to Sandals Grande St. Lucian for their honeymoon? FH called me at work just now to tell me that he's been doing research and he is dying to go there

(ps he was like a 5 year old on christmas morning telling me alllll about it )

We just booked there this past weekend....we are sooo excited. We wanted to leave right after we booked.

What rooms is everyone staying in??

we want too.. we have all the paperwork but jsut have to sit down and really talk it out

it took us awhile to decide....we went back and forth and couldn't decide between Grande and Regency. When we sat with the travel agent....they brought up good points and that helped. If you like the beach then go to Grande....its calmer water and a nicer beach...if u like the pool more then either one would be good. They said the water at Regency is rough and not as nice if your a beach person to lay out during the day.

is anyone looking into the direct flights from JFK to St.Lucia through American Airlines??? We are too far out to book our flights....plus FH doesn't like to fly so we have to fly into the big international airport at the other end of the island. Its going to be like 1.5hr drive to the resort.....but we decided to do first class as well....at least be comfy while flying.

I am taking the direct flight, b/c I hate to fly... but I heard the drive isn't so great either.

we wantto vege and lay out on the beach... we did that in DR and envision something liek that but BETTER for our HM.

yeah they said the drive isn't great but once you get to the hotel its worth it. What makes me nervous is the drive from the hotel to the airport...i dont want to be sick for a flight home. What airline are u doing? American?

lori are you booking through a TA or the website? Which package?

My FH's mother is a travel agent. I could give you her number if you want. She is located in nassau.

We are doing the room with the pool inside it and the butler service. We have our own area outside as well. Very private.

us too - Honeymoon Lagoon Swim-up Concierge Room?

ok now im pumped!

Just so you know that, that pool is very nice and private however it is NOT the pool with the swim up bar, the bar is not close to this pool

Personally i think as long as you have a concierge level room (so you have a refrigerator in your room) thats fine. Everyone ends up hanging out at the main pool with the swim up bar.

we booked with Sandals St. lucia regency! the way we looked at it is why pay extra for a room that your not going to be in so we were able to add on about 3 extra days! and as long as your staying at one of the sandals you can go to any of them

We plan to use the room alot

I think so it was the one that was further away and we flew air jamaica which i will NEVER do again. I was so uncomfortable the entire flight!
