Save the Dates Question

Ok, due to many circumstances beyond our control, our Save the Dates are going out quite late--it's been a rough road.

They have FINALLY been shipped and I want address labels all set to go when they get here so that they can be in the mail the next day. I have two questions:

1. For anybody who got the postcard-sized magnets from Vistaprint, what was the postage to mail them? I'd like to have the stamps here and ready to go when they arrive, as well.

2. I have a few young adult cousins who don't live at home full-time (or at all). I plan to send separate invitations, but can I send just one Save the Date to my Aunt and Uncle and have them spread the word? I don't see my 25-year-old male cousin putting our magnet up on his bachelor-pad fridge...

TIA!!

Save the Dates Question

1- It was the standard stamp, $.46. I do recommend dropping them off at the post office and not putting them in the mail box.

2- I would send them the magnet. You would be surprised that people really do add the magnet to the fridge.

Re: Save the Dates Question

1. I also think the postage should be the same. If you are really not sure, then ask the post office.

2. I would send them a seperate save the date if they are getting a seperate invite. You never know, they may out it on their fridge & even if they don't, it's just the right thing to do - You don't want them to get offended.

Re: Save the Dates Question

I think that's fine to do for the save the dates. We have a few cousins with similar situations some don't live at home some do, we sent our Save the Dates just one to each family, and addressed it like that so when they received it they knew it was for everyone. We didn't really care about being formal for the save the dates, but they will each get their own wedding invitations.

Save the Dates Question

2. I sent STDs to my young adult cousins only if they didn't live with their parents. If they still lived with my aunt/uncle I sent to 'The Whatever Family'.
