Saying HI! PLUS HM question

I havent posted in a while... i have been so busy with work and SOOO behind on wedding planning so now I have to get back into it full force.

Next huge thing is we have to book a honeymonn and I have absolutely no idea where to go. I really want to do an all inclusive bc i DO not want to worry about money at all after the last year of redic spending. BUT its hurricane season in the carribean... I reallly want to go to St. Lucia or Bahamas but im nervous and i cant commit to anywhere..

any ideas?? or any other hurrican season girls taking the chance??

I'm getting married 6 days before you and went through the same thing!!!! We were set on St. Lucia but we were worried about hurricanes. Everyone told us to go to Hawaii but we wanted all-inclusive. After lots of research we decided that Aruba was the best bet and from what I found, the RIU Palace looks like it has the best reviews.

We haven't booked yet but we are 99.9% sure this is where we are going....Check It Out!

What about a Mediterranean Cruise?

September is lovely in Europe- great weather, nice temps, etc

We're getting travel insurance and going to Turks and Caicos--hopefully we won't run into any hurricanes! But we're staying at an all inclusive that's new and supposed to be AMAZING:

The Veranda

And it's only like a.3.5 hour flight!

We're going on MSC cruiseline. I never heard of them before we booked...its an Italian cruise company, our travel agent recommended them and we read great reviews about them. We are leaving the Thursday after our wedding 9/22/11, but there were a bunch that left closer to our date. I'm not sure where you live, but we went to Tyree Travel in Bethpage. They were really great to work with. We gave them a budget and she made it work. I never thought we'd be going to europe for a cruise, and staying in Barcelona for 2 days after! Let me know if you have any more questions.

The Riu and Occidental both have good reviews...I thought about Aruba for a while

but then we decided to chance it and go to Mexico bc we are in love with this resort, Casitas Royale

Hi Date Twin! We we going through the same thought process. We couldnt commit and take the risk of having to postpone our HM. We were going to do Aruba since its not in the hurricane belt and they have all inclusive ...but we ultimately decided on a Mediterrean Cruise. Its all inclusive and I've always wanted to go to Europe!! I'm so excited!! Good Luck!!

love the casistas royale (well from the website we havent been) we really wanted to book there for the honeymoon but we went on a cruise the same week we'd be on our honeymoon this year and it was supposed to stop in 2 ports in mexico and couldnt becuase of a hurricane, so we figured it was god's way of telling us dont take any chances

we are doing a European Cruise as well. We wanted to do all inclusive and not have to worry abuot spening money on food for our HM.
however, we purchased travel insruance just in case, and you can't worry about whether or not you will hit a hurricane for your HM. You have to just think positive that you will go on your HM and have a great time and enjoy it.
St. Lucia is stunning, one of themost beautiful islands in the Caribbean. I would say that would be my first choice.

OMG I was going to say, see you there!! LOL!! That is exactly our itinerary! We are flying to Barcelona on the 24th and then the boat goes to Italy and France. But then I noticed we'll be on different ships. We're doing 2 nights in Barcelona at the end bc the only flight home the day the ship gets in was like 2 hours after it got to port. I was afraid we wouldnt make it. I'm sooooo excited!!

Oh, P.S., juts looked at your profile....we have the same BM dresses! Looks like we have similar taste!

Bree71584 - Where are you staying while in Aruba? FH and I are going to Aruba as well.
