SCRAPBOOK STORE IN WANTAGH

Original post by Suzanne

I went last night, and it was a cute little store, but there wasnt much. I think she is just getting it going. It was of course more expensive than micheals or target, like for instance I bought an album 12X12 post bound at target for 14.00 and she had it for 18.25. The stickers were priced ok, a little more expensive than micheals. But they were VERY nice, I explained to her that I did not know how to do brads beads and eyelets and she told me to come back any other day this week when her sister is in and she will teach me free of charge.. I am very EXCITED about that. cause i want to buy this 1200 piece embellishment kit on QVC.

Over all, its a great place if you live close and need something, and they have all sorts of classes and crop nights. I will definatly go back there. I didnt expect the store to be as cheap as micheals, since its just a mom and pop store, and since its so close to me its a great place to go when your in a pinch.

I want to check out scrapbook alley. Maybe ill do that this weekend.

Heather at your party i ordered the circles blades and matt. then 2 weeks ago i ordered 2 corner rounders (one for my cuz) and the oval templates.

Tammy, I bought the fiskars square and oval temps but they stinks. and are very hard to use, the CM ones are sooo easy and clean cutting.

You cant buy Creative Memories stuff anywhere but through them, but for certain things you could get away with going to micheals or scrapbooks.com

I just bought the SLAB 1 and II its each a pack of 180 sheets of 12X12 paper. each slab has different designs, and I used the 50% off coupon so originally tyhey were 19.00 and i got them for 8.00 yippiee!! its great!!!

Do you think i am addicted? lol i am going broke on pictures!!

Ah ha, I went to scrapbook.com and they don't have a catalog, they also have scrapbooks.com, I guess that's where it is.

Tammy, Laurie said two weeks so probably the beginning of the week, I hope, I am so anxious.

Check Ebay for things also. I got the circles & ovals and the square & circle punches on ebay.

I didnt save oodles but the autions I won (with shipping) averaged out to be a little less then the list price with CM (then you have to add tax & shipping, etc.)

Re: SCRAPBOOK STORE IN WANTAGH

the more you use the tools the better you become at using them!! Some of the tools I need someone to shower me how to use it once, from then on Im ok!

I have this machine (actually 3 of them in different sizes) that is called a Xyron. Its a no heat, no electric maninating, sticker machine. I run paper through it, either punch out the shapes or cut the frame, peel off the 'wax paper' on the back and instant sticker. Its acid free and come in peremant or temporary!!
The 3 sizes I have is the sticker maker (smallest one), the 500 (middle size) and the 900 (next to largest). the last one can take a whole 8.5x11 piee of paper in it!1 I love them!! I do nto have to mess with glue pens or sitcks!!

150

500

900
