Hi Jenny, Scrapping can get $$ but it doesnt have to. You could get your albums and what not at micheals on sale. I suggest going to a creative memories party to get you started. Or taking a look at someone elses books is a good way to pick up ideas.. To learn some other things the stores like Scrapbook chalet or scrapbook alley..even micheals.. Before all organize your photos, and decide what you want to scrap. My biggest mistake is getting the materials before taking or developing the pictures so i bought WAY more than i needed..

Re: Scrapbookers..........
good idea. I will start by atually organizing photos of my Fh & I through te years.
Question,,,,,do you use original photos? what if I want the photo in the future and it is glued to the page???

Re: Scrapbookers..........
I do not use glue to attach my photos I use adhesive tape ( and if you slide a piece of dental floss behind the pick it pops off) also there is this liquid that you buy that will take the glue off the pic. my cuz uses it and LOVES it. (sometimes I make doubles if I know I will want to keep them.)

You can also color copy or get reprints of photos so you are not cutting orginals or heirloom photos. what would you say are the basic MUST HAVES...

Re: Scrapbookers..........
I make 2 sets also - one for the album and one for me to have my way with
Suzanne is 100% right - it much easier to organize all your pictures and decide which ones you want to scrap and make your purchases based on that.
CM parties are a good way to start and some of the scrapstores have classes to help you get started. There are several sites with online galleries for you to look through:
Handmade items like tags decorative squares photo mats
it goes on and on.............

Re: Scrapbookers..........
Im in the process of making my wedding scrapbook and came to a problem: I will not cut crop or change any of my proofs or wedding pics, so that really limits me as far as designs go or how many fit onto a page.
I can't go to a kiosk to make a color copy because of copyright laws. I wonder if the same applies to someplace like Kinkos?

Re: Scrapbookers..........
Erica - do what I do and burn your pics onto a CD - I'm now no longer worried about my computer crashing.
Oh, and to add to what I just posted, I do have many proofs online, but would need to buy a good color printer in order to use them for my scrapbooking.
Teri...I have them backed up as well...but I still worry...and on my computer...I can't look at them or show people...
why don't you print your wedding proofs on your computer? choose the highest resolution to scan...

Re: Scrapbookers..........
There are so many things you can do in a scrapbook. Make sure you get the 12X12 book to get as many as possible and if you don't want to cut them you can just enhance your page with lots of colored paper and stickers and journaling. You can cut out a piece of paper to shadow the picture and do things on a tilt. You don't have to cut your pictures into cirlces and ovals and things like that if you don't want to.
