Here is my breakdown:

Table 1- DH's immediate family
Table 2- My immediate family
Table 3- DH's family (uncles and cousins)
Table 4- My family (cousins and uncles)
Table 5- Dh's friends of the family
Table 6-My friends of the family

Table 8-My friends of the family
Table 9-Our friends
Table 10- Our bosses, landlord and coworkers

Oh y la familia de el like las tias & uncles are seperated... get it? and they dont want to sit NEXT TO EACH OTHER!!! And since we know BOTH of they we are inviting still even though they are seperate!!
So wth am I suppose to doo?!!!!!!

Well, ask the immediates, like his mom and your parents whom they;d like to sit with. FMIL had special friends she wanted at her table, or you could combine and put all the parents at one table as a show of unity.

So work on you seating chart. I'd still do it as categories, cousins, friends, etc and then if there are people who can't sit togther, they go with a different category. Some people asked to sit together and I put them together, some people I didn't. Too bad

I agree with everyone else about waiting to get your responses. One thing I would re-consider is the photobooth next to your dais. That should be next to the DJ towards the back. The front right side should be for your immediate fam and the left should be for his or vise versa.

Also, i think you DEF need a B-list to meet ur min of 100 because the no's can def put you under! its the ones that you are sure would go that end up canceling!

crashing but i disagree ... 108 MIGHT be enough ... it really depends on your guests. But the average wedding does get about 20% no's.

If you're short on people and don't have anyone to invite, i'm sure you can get an LIW table together

as for who sits with who, you can do anything you want ... there are no rules. are your & FH's parents inviting any of their friends? Maybe they'd want to all sit together?

Maybe you had a different experience, but all of the friends I spoke with said that 20% is a myth and they had MORE say no. I had over 50% say no. People I thought would never in a million years say no said no. Generally with a list of 108 even though it's small, there are going to be some who are borderline to begin with and some who you think will come but don't.

ETA: I'd rather have the extra invitations printed on ready to go out to a B list than pay for empty seats.

I am paying for TWENTY empty seats at my wedding.

I am guessing 5 of ALL the guest we invite will Not Come....

We dont have many out of town...
perhaps 7-8 (including his mom n step dad ) sooo....
I will get a list B...
If not i guess I can always get LIW Seat Fillersss!!!
