it seems like a common feeling after buying the dress to second guess it... but just remember its not the dress that makes the girl- its the girl that makes the dress- you will be a beautiful bride! so try not to worry
Thanks... When i tried it on I *knew* it was the one, but when i look at the pics, i'm like... ummm... why did i pick that dress?
i am starting to feel the same way and i only ordered mine 2 weeks ago! hopefully it will be in by June and when i try it on i will love it......im so worried that the new neckline will look stupid and that they wont be able to give me boobs in the dress and i'll look flat chested like when i tried it on i try so hard to imagine what it will look like but it really wont all come together until the day of the wedding you know, with the jewelry, the hair, the make up, the dress fitting properly.....ugh.....it makes me get a stomach ache thinking about it.......

Aw most brides go through that you aren't alone...remember why you loved that dress! It looks beautiful on you, you picked it because you loved it. We tend to go the opposite of what we originaly thought we would pick. I thought i would get straight and lacy but now I have poof and plain! Go try it on again and remember why you fell in love!

don't worry -- i am second guessing and I haven't even ordered mine yet. I keep changing my mind.
If it makes you feel anybetter I was in Burtons last week and saw your dress and it is beautiful. When I saw it I totally knew it was your dress from pictures I looked at months ago -- my point is (I am not a stalker) but it is a memorable dress!!!!!!!!!

Yell... I think it's time you went and visited your dress.... Fall in love with it all over again. Remember, the way that it looks in the picture you took is NOT how it's going to look in the picutres your photog takes... different lighting, better camera, professional eye....
PS... I had second thoughts too, but once I went to see my dress and try it on again, all of those feelings from when I first put it on came back and those second thoughts flew out the window.
You're right, I should go try it on again... but the place that has it isn't the place i ordered it from so they are going to be like, ummmm, you better order soon!!!

Re: second guessing...
I soo felt like that with my dress as well. When I first tried it on, I fell in love with it, and while It was being ordered I went months w/out seeing it. So then I started seeing all the other brides' dresses and started to dislike mine. There was a reason you fell in love with your dress in the first place, don't forget that... I'm sure when you put it on again, and after your hair and make-up and everything else gets put together, you'll look gorgeous and realized why you chose that dress afterall! =)

It was hanging in a bag next to the fitting room so I don't know if it was there to try on or someone's who had come in so call first. But definately go try it on again. Once I finally order mine I will not be able to look at dresses because i will do nothing but second guess myself.

Re: second guessing...
I really love the beading! I think that you look gorgeous in it and I love the pick-ups. I know what you mean about not really wanting a lot of beading. I said I wanted a plain dress and I ended up with a lot of detail. It's normal to second guess but I really think you made an awesome choice!

Re: second guessing...
Danielle you know I love you and I don't mind hearing about you second guessing for 7+ months!!!
I think your dress is stunning!!! And looks fabulous on you in those pics!!!! I can't wait to actually see you in person with it on. And with the headpiece that you love so much is going to go so well with your dress!!!
But when I was looking at dresses I thought I wanted lace and I got a dress thats all satin and bead work as well- well you know haha.
But I think it is only natural to 2nd guess yourself since you haven't tried it on in awhile. Maybe that is the best thing to do!!!!
But dont worry you are going to look STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL on your day as you walk down the aisle with me!!!

Re: second guessing...
You definitely should go try it on again! If you loved it enough to say this is THE dress when you had it on then I'm sure it is! When I went to try them on I had EXACTLY what I wanted in my head and I even had things I absolutely did NOT want. Well...I ended up loving everything I thought I wouldn't! It's a gorgeous dress and you look gorgeous in it so try not to stress about it!

Re: second guessing...
hey twiny!
i had this feeling too. after coming on LIW and looking at everyone's beautiful gowns (and yes, i remember even looking at yours and being like wow!)
i started second guessing my own dress. So i went to the bridal salon and i visited it. I didnt even have to put it on, one i saw it again I was like THIS IS IT! I LOVE IT! it is not what i wanted (i never thought i would chose a gown with pickups) but i did and it looks fab.
what i'm tryign to say is...go visit your gown. put it on again. you remember that feeling of THIS IS MY GOWN.
and if you dont....try on some other gowns...it cant hurt to see what else is out there.
good luck!!!

Re: second guessing...
Your dress is beautiful!!!!!!!! Go try it on anywhere and look again. If the store asks, just say you are still deciding.
