second guessing the dress

Did you try any other dresses or stores before you found the dress? I think some brides find their dresses quickly while others take longer. I tried on 8 or 9 dresses before I found the one but when you know its the one you know. I would also suggest to future brides that after they picked their dress they should avoid looking at wedding dresses in the salons or magazine bc then you start second guessing yourself. If you are truly not happy, then I would ask the salon if you can put the deposit towards a different dress.....

second guessing the dress

I am going through this. I LOVE LOVE LOVED this dress when I put it on, cried- the whole thing. I brought my mom back to see it and she cried too... so I bought it. Now I'm having a little bit of dress regret because I'm worried it's too much. I'm always a simple, I dress simple, my style is understated and classic- and this dress is NOT understated at all. I think that's what I loved about it but now I'm worried it's not a good representation of myself? Is that weird? The contract says I have to pay in full for the dress- so it's not like I'm just losing out on the deposit; I'd have to buy the whole thing and then an entirely new dress.

Maybe i'll change my mind when it comes in at the end of April?

What are you thinking about your dress? Think you'll get a new one?

Re: second guessing the dress

I love my dress and stopped looking after I purchased it. There is so much I need to do that I don't have time to worry about anything that has already been done.
I think that it is great that you are going the opposite way you normally dress. This is a special day and I think your dress needs to reflect a different side of you. It also must reflect something of your personality, otherwise you would not have purchased it.

second guessing the dress

Yes! I went through this and still go through it every few weeks. I have tried on the dress 4 times since the original date when I purchased it back in June. Everytime I try it on, I fall back in love! Try to remember why you fell in love with it or go back to try it on again! If you truly aren't happy after trying it on again, then id change it. Another suggestion would be to go alone. This way you won't get a biased opinion about your dress. Your decision will come purely from your own precepton of how you look.

second guessing the dress

You're going to fall in love again when you put it back on. It's hard when you look at dresses in photos, but try and remember how your dress looks on you and how it made you feel.

second guessing the dress

I just bought my dress on Sunday and I am feeling the OMG was it the right one? But I have been telling myself that there are millions of dresses out there and you can search and search forever (I tried on over 100 dresses lol) as long as you are happy and feel beautiful in your dress I think thats all that matters. That is the dress that you first envisioned yourself being a bride in and when you try it on again I'm sure you will remember that! However if you don't, then ask and see if they can work with you or if you can sell it and get a new one because you deserve to be happy.

t is hard to stop second guessing it though, saying yes to a man was easier then a dress!! haha

second guessing the dress

I had the same problem. I went to a bunch of stores...at the second one I found a beautiful dress, but I was only with my moh and I knew I needed my sisters and mom to approve. I compared every dress after to that one. Then I went with my whole family to Kleinfelds and found one I thought I loved, and thy unfortunately didn't have the first dress, so I put down a deposit for the Kleinfelds dress. That night I had horrible horrible anxiety about it and even saw my original dress on Say Yes to the Dress, first and ONLY time I did. The next day I called and cancelled the order and had Kleinfelds order me the original dress. It took a few weeks to make the change and get everything in order but they were amazing and in the end I got the dress of my dreams without losing any money.

My advice would be to go with your gut. Go see it and try it on again... A few times. Put a hold on the order if u need to. See what your salon can do for you in terms of credit and ordering dresses they might not have samples of. It might just be your nerves in making such a big decision but go with your gut!!
