Seeing FH before ceremony
If you saw the groom before the ceremony, or plan to, how are you doing it? In private, in front of your bridal party, with your parents?

My wedding is soooo far away, but we plan on seeing each ohter before the ceremony. We are taking pics before that way we can enjoy the cocktail hour.
We plan on seeing each other before the ceremony. Not sure exactly how it will work, but it will be a moment just for the 2 of us. We are arriving at the Westbury Manor before our parents, so we can have our moment. Our photographer (Patken) says they will definitely help make it a special time and capture it.
We got ready together in our house with the bridal party. I mean, I put the dress on behind closed doors & made an entrance but otherwise he was around when hair & makeup came, etc ... it was very nice & relaxed.
We're doing pictures before the ceremony. We won't see eachother until I'm all done up and at the restaurant - I want him to see me for the first time in front of the photographer (hopefully to catch a picture) and the bridal party.
I am not seeing FH.. But if I was I would arrange a private meeting somewhere special. Maybe give him a nice card or poem or something.
We're doing pics before the ceremony. The photographer will set the 'moment' up. Likely, the BP and parents will be sort of in the background and they'll give us about 10 minutes to be 'alone' together.
We live together, so we are going to wake up together that morning, but get ready separately. I want that moment when he first sees me in my dress, with my hair and makeup and veil to be caught on camera and video. I don't know if I'll wait until the ceremony for him to see me though, he probably won't react as dramatically because he'll be intimidated by all of the attention on him/us.
We are staying in 2 separate rooms the night before the wedding. So that morning we will travel separately to the hall and then the videographer and photographer will orchestrate it where they capture the fist time we see eachother. MY dad wants it the same way too. Very cute.
we did it immediately after i got out the limo since we got married at the same place as the reception hall. Doug from Patken took frank over the side and then I walked to him from behind. Everything was captured on film and video. I loved every minute of it and wouldn't change a thing
I'm hoping Duet will orchestrate something nice when he arrives at the house for pictures.
we are also taking pics before the ceremony bc the cocktail hour starts immediately after and we dont want to miss a thing!
We're doing our pictures (before the ceremony) at the Planting Fields in Oyster Bay. I plan on having a quiet moment somewhat staged, where he can see me by himself and we can have a few minutes alone to speak to each other. Also, I plan to ride alone with him to the church, so we can have a few final quiet minutes before the craziness of the wedding experience begins.
We're going to Vanderbilt Museum before hand for pics so we'll get to see each other first in front of the bridal party
We did not put much thought into it- thought we'd do it in the bridal suite at the hotel that we are both getting ready at.. But then one of the coordinators suggested we do it at the Carltun- so this is what we are going to do- he will go over a head of time- I will travel with the rest of the wedding party on our 'Limo-Bus'- then we will stage something there to do the first glimpse of each other.
We're taking pics beforehand and our photographer is going to set up a 'moment' for us to first see each other..documenting it all on film and video!
We live together, but he is staying in a hotel the night before the wedding. The first time he will see me is when I walk down the isle. All my friends and my sister had their pics before the wedding and I don't think they would change a thing-so its really a matter of opinion.
