if your going to use caps to make a statement, make sure its correct.....
the phrase is ' to each HIS own' just found it funny
to each his own idiom - One has a right to one's personal preferences, as in I'd never pick that color, but to each his own. Versions of this maxim appeared in the late 1500s but the modern wording was first recorded in 1713.

I didn't want to say anything, but I noticed that too, and chuckled to myself!

This is the exact reason I stay away from being friends with females and get along with males sooooooo much better. Abnoxious and childish! I expressed MY opinion... this IS an open discussion forum...

ummmmmmmmmmm ok so since this is generally a girls site, although there are many FH's who are on here as well.....YOU expressed YOUR opinion and now the girls are expressing THEIR opinion based on YOURS....you ARE right, this is an open discussion forum and if you can't take what other's have to say about YOUR comments or opinions, then don't read it.

You're right. This IS an open discussion forum. But it seems that the issue is that you appear to be suggesting that YOU are entitled to your opinions, but that other opinions are wrong because you're opinions are allegedly supported by facts.

You girls are being way too uptight about this... TO EACH, IS OWN... I expressed my opinion and yes, it's a fact that sex and money are the two main issues between married couples...PERIOD. It's a fact and facts can't be disputed. I don't think that if you don't have it, your absolutely headed for disaster.... I just think it's a mistake NOT to.....
I don't generally get involved in the drama... but I was a bit taken aback by your first post regarding the 'recipe for disaster.'
Sex and money may be the two main issues, and it's fine if that's a fact. However, no one is debating the validity of that notion. Are the problems with sex that couples aren't having it? Or is the problem that too much of an emphasis is placed on sex? What exactly are these 'sex' problems? That would require an extensive survey of all married couples.
Not having sex on your wedding night does not mean that the relationship is doomed. Marriage is not built on sex, it is built on love. If the couple wants to go to sleep, why have sex when you're exhausted just for the sake of having sex?
You are certainly entitled to your opinion, as is everyone else. However, what I feel that you're saying is that ALL of us are entitled to our opinions, but that you are right and we are wrong. That is not quite how an opinion works.
I couldnt have said it any better!!!
I agree. Great point made.

Woah!!!! I can't believe there are people that DON'T! If you ask me, that's a recipe for disaster!!!
LOL - What?? Do you seriously think that if a couple doesn't do it on their wedding night they are headed for disaster? What a distorted view of marriage!
Umm..actually, it's not a distorted view. It's reality. Sex and finances are two major issues with married couples down the line (read the statistics)... why start it that way?
Well...that assumes you've never done it before. If you nookie on a regular basis....what difference does it make if it happens on the wedding night? None.
If you've never then perhaps it has some greater significance.
ITA - if i am to tired i will do it in the morning i don't see a difference

Wow... lighten up. WHEN did I say that each and every one of you weren't entitled to your opinions? The second I expressed MYSELF you all started with your quick nasty comments. Re-read the thread!

maybe you dont have female friends because you are busy having $ex so your marriage isnt doomed.
No on had a problem with you stating your opinion, but when you use caps, it comes across as yelling, which no one is a fan of.
Frankly, if your going to YELL at me, expect me to come back at you.
$ex and finance is a big issue with many couples but i think your facts are skewed if you think it means the wedding day.... on my wedding day, i will be stressed about money and pretty darn poor but i have complete faith that we will earn more money and have our savings back to where it was. In the same respect, if we do not 'do it' that night, i believe our next horizontal tango will not too far down the road

whoa! This thread is way outta control for an innocent question. My plan is to have sex that night but we'll see how tired I am. Fh is up for it at anytime so that's not an issue lol.
I don't think that she was yelling, more writting in caps to emphasize. If she thinks it's a recipe for disaster fine. That's her opinion. That's all.

Quite frankly, I wasn't YELLING at anyone! Wow, I can't believe how uptight you are. And don't you dare throw your 'maybe you dont have female friends because you are busy having $ex so your marriage isnt doomed' comment my way. I choose not to have female friends for this reason alone. And you're wrong - the second I stated my opinion, you all started.
BTW, amazing how my comment envoked SUCH a stir... Haha... Actually, it's quite comical!

Re: sextion poll
everyone's wedding day is very long. many girls will be starting with their hair & make-up early in the am & wont be finished at the reception until very early the next morning. at the very moment if we do, we do, if we don't, we don't. its not going to be the determination for the rest of our lives.
