The funny thing is I cannot think of a particular goal that I want to reach. I know I want to have a more toned body. I am working on my back, my shoulders, biceps and triceps, we'll see how it goes. I am going to have my gym buddy do my measurements and I will post them here, then I will contiually post how my progress is coming along
I need to drink more water.
I currently weigh 172.5 lbs and I am 5' 8' by American Standards I am overweight but I am going by my standards. I am very fit, I work out minimum 4 days a week doing cardio and toning. I think my body is beautiful, but I am up for improvements.
Today's breakfast My Breakfast 1 slice of white toast with butter and jelly 1 cheese sandwich with butter on white toast 1 cup of french vanilla hot chocolate

Shamma, do you like sparkling water? You could drink that too and it will count as water? Or perhaps decaf tea?

Re: Shamma's Log
I tend to eat more in the morning, I do not eat dinner at nights, my biggest meal is usually breakfast or lunch. I get home way too late after the gym to do eat anything after. Usually I snack on fruit or juice and I am usually not hungry.

ooooh, someone else with same schedule as me... In that case, your breakfast is not too big, just normal...

BTW, I do eat dinner on weekends, but then I skip breakfasts b/c I wake up too late

Re: Shamma's Log
This week was my first week back in the gym since the middle of December.
Monday - Total body toning 1 hr, advance step 55 mins
Tuesday - did not go
Wednesday - Total body toning, and 30 mins cardio step class
Thursday - 50 mins Super Step class
I am looking to re-incorporate my African dance class back in to my schedule. I also used to do Pilates and I stopped, I will try to incorporate that in to my schedule as well.
I enjoy the gym immensly, it makes me so energized and I sleep better and it alleviate stress.

Re: Shamma's Log
Shamma, what gym do you go to? What are some of the exercises you do for your triceps?
I'm absolutely looking to get rid of the 'bingo' arms that I've got now.

Re: Shamma's Log
I think you have a terrific positive attitude!
How do you like pilates? Do they have it at your gym or do you go to a special studio for it?

Re: Shamma's Log
MV, you can do tricep kick backs, which I prefer instead of the tricep dips or any other type of tricep exercise.
Christine, I go to NY SPorts club, they have a wide variety of classes, they offer the pilates at my gym.
In the summer I also do water aerobics which is absolutely wonderful especially great if you have back or knee problems.

Sage, I am going to do better starting on Monday I promise. Water...YUCk!!!
someone at work once told me that they add a pinch of crystal light into their water...to give it taste...b/c they do not like water either...crystal light itself would be good to get your water in...

Re: Shamma's Log
Shamma, by what American Standards are you over weight??? Do you mean just American Society or litteral standards that dr would use.
You have posted many pics and I have always thought that you look like a person who is in great shape. You can tell that you take care of your body.
Keep up the excellent work at the gym. Reading your log should keep me motivated becuase I only work out half as long as you
