shoot before the wedding??

Original post by Tessie728

Ok so I want to know what you girls think about the idea of 'seeing' eachother before you walk down the aisle.

I am getting married mid-october at 6:30. Naturally by the time our ceremony is over, it will be pitch black outside. When I spoke with Patken about it, they strongly suggested doing a 'reveal' before the wedding so we could get some shots of the beautiful fall foliage and scenery. I know I will be compramising some potentially gorgeous shots by not seeing eachother before the wedding, but I really feel like it might ruin that moment when I walk down the aisle and its almost worth not getting pictures just to have that one moment.... what do you guys think about it?? any past brides done the reveal?
are you for it or against it??

we saw eachother before hand, we did our meeting at the beach, the photographer took some sentimental pictures and then gave us a few minutes alone. it was just perfect.

Re: shoot before the wedding??

I'm getting married at 3 in early December, so by the time my very long ceremony will be over, and we have the receiving line, it will be pretty dark out by 4:30-4:45 when we start getting pics done. But we're very traditional and wouldn't take pictures first together. Just the way WE are...doesn't make it right or wrong, just for us not a viable option. We'll make it work in the dusk.
