I have to go to the laundromat. I swear I ahve so much laundry I will be there for hours.

it won't be that bad. I feel like that too when I used to go to L-mat (another great thing about living at FILs)
I used to: Throw them in, run to a local store or food shopping. Come back, throw in dryer, get bite to eat. Go back,,Before you know it....DONE!!!!

I hated doing laundry when I lived in my apartment!!
What I used to do instead was use the laundromats drop-off and pick up service. Can I tell you what a lifesaver that was!! They even folded it up so that all I had to do was come home and put it away. I knew the lady well, and she would sort and use my favorite soaps and fabric softeners. It was probably more expensive in the long run, but I didn't have to waste my time sitting there watching the laundry spin!

Sometimes we do the service where they wash and fold. They use cute little ribbons to tie up our socks & such. It gets expensive though. We also drop off the laundry, go shopping, come back, throw in the dryer and then grab something quick to eat. Not so bad...

I use the service. Shameful aren't I? I live with my FILs who have a washer dryer.. but NEVER use it.. I don't feel right doing stuff like that.
As a matter fact I never leave our room except to use the restroom or shower. *shrug* they're nice people but I want to keep my head low, if you know what I mean.
Besides.. laundry service saves me so much time. I drop it off one night with every possible piece of laundry I can dig up. Get groceries and go home. Next morning go by and pick it up come home put it all up (since it's all folded and hung on wires it's perfect) and Im ready for the week.

Why don't you have a GTG at a laundry mat. Get a few girls together and then it won't be so bad.

I can't stand doing laundry. I hope you get all your machines and that it goes fast!
Lately, we have been dropping off everything that goes in the dryer and then have two small loads to wash ourselves.

Update- it's done! Fh and I went- I swear (I am embarrased toadmit this) we used 18 washing machines! We got such dirty looks!

18 washing machines?!?!?!?! Holy c r a p!!! You really did have a lot of laundry!!!!
Laundry night is the worst night of my life...and if I ever had to use 18 machines, I'd want someone to shoot me too!!!
