Ok so yesterday I told someone the venue I chose (Russo's on the Bay) and got really really really upset!!!
The person I was talking with told me how it was an outdated place! It made me feel like I made a mistake at first and now I am just really upset!
She did not seem like she was jealous or anything. But do you think that maybe she was? Should I seriously reconsider my RH? I don't know what to do now ... I was excited and now i am sad

rude does not even beging to describe this person, tell her when she has her own wedding she can pick whatever her little heart desires, but for now she should shut the eff up lol
i LOOOOVE RUSSOS!!!! granted its not everyones style, just like some other rh's arent my style. but its beautiful, classic, and you have nothingggg to worry about. one of my ex-coworkers used to always make comments about russos (needless to say i would not have even looked at his rh where he got married lol) and i literally flipped out on him, telling him unless hes planning on paying for my wedding he should keep his mouth shut.
ive never got anything else negative about my rh since, everyone usually raved about how amazing the food and service is!
dont worry about it chickie! russos is gorgeous and your guests will leave completely satisfied!

thats really rude!!! i mean, if you were still looking and you asked her opinion, thats different, but you already booked that place because you love it!
dont let her get you down.
no matter what you do, or the decisions you and FH make about your wedding, someone will have a problem with it. you need to let things roll off your back and not let them get to you. theres always drama.... try to stay away!!! im a year in and someone always has something to say about everything!!!! it gets annoying.
maybe try going back to the hall and take a look around again, it might lift your spirits and re-confirm you made the right choice.

Its not outdated at all i was just there! it may not be her taste in decor but they keep that places in Prime condition. the food is just ridiculous its an amazing place , dont let anyone tell you otherwise

I know how you feel. My friend and her fiance outright told me they didn't like one of the vendors I recommended them to. I was so upset because we already booked them, and I began to feel like crap about our decision. Luckily FH and MOH reminded me that everyone has different tastes, and what works for us may not necessarily work for other people, and vice versa. FH and I spent a lot of time and energy evaluating all our options in that area, and we know that we made the right decision that best suits our needs.
So yeah, just shrug it off and ignore. Not everyone knows what it means to be tactful.
