Should I or shouldn't I?
My interview for four weddings is tomorrow and a lot of my family, ESP mom and dad have been saying they don't want me to do it.My mom thinks this is a personal time and doesn't want our family to be on display and have people analyzing and critiquing my wedding.
Part of me agrees and then the other part thinks how amazing it would be to get on tv and win a honeymoon... And IWILL win
Advice please?

It's your day and you're event, as long as it won't cause major family issues do what you and your fh want! My friend won last year and the cameras were not intrusive at all. I was a bm and couldn't tell who her videographer was and who the tlc ppl were.

Should I or shouldn't I?
Thats exciting! I say go for it! I actually went to the four weddings interview and as i was sharing the details with my family I got a lot of head nods...It stressed me out!! People will always have opinions especially throughout wedding planning! You only live once and if its meant it will be. At the end of the day they never called me but at least i tried!
Good Luck!

Should I or shouldn't I?
It's really such a personal decision. I mean, I definitely think it's a cool experience & even more so if you win... but the other brides can be so mean!4W was taping at my job a few months ago (for some reason the bride & groom used our place for their intro about themselves haha) & I was talking to the camera guy about how I was getting married in May & he was all like submit to be on the show! I told him 'Nooo! Those brides are mean!' he was like 'No they aren't... ok some are' hahaha... I'd be so upset if people were being catty about all of our personal touches for the wedding, ya know?
But I don't see how meeting with them can hurt. If they call you, then make the decision at that point! It doesn't hurt to meet with them.

Go for the interview, and then make a decision when you have all the facts.

Should I or shouldn't I?
It's your choice. It does put you in the public eye, but of all the shows I think it's the least intrusive.

Re: Should I or shouldn't I?
They called and e-mailed me several times also. I really wanted to do it!!! FH was against it because he said he doesn't want our wedding day to be made into a mockery. If you are the kind of person who doesn't care at all what people think or say, then go for it. If you get sensitive about people critiquing things, I'd say maybe you want to think twice.

I really don't give an ish what random people think, but fh saiid it's just one more thing we have to worry about and, while I'm totally fine being on tv, my family is a little more conservative....
Uuuuuggghhh I'm just going to go to interview and see what they say, who knows if I even get picked! I might be stressing for nothing

I know the girl who won on last weeks new episode. She won an amazing trip! Just go to the interview and see what happens. If you're okay with being on display and having the world view and critique your wedding then go for it.

I turned it down in the end bc of FH. He didn't want to do it at all, but if I pushed I'm sure he would have given in. But he said I'd spend the day worrying about the 3 brides and making sure they are having a good time instead of keeping the focus on me. And he's totally right. It's a personal decision. Weigh your pros and cons!

I agree with you. I don't even watch the show anymore because some of these women are so mean and talk so much crap and then their wedding is exactly like the one they just criticized. I have no time for strangers to be catty . I have enough of that crap from people I do know. LOL

Should I or shouldn't I?
I actually think it's funny to watch how obnoxious some of the women are. I always notice that the really obnoxious ones don't win!A free honeymoon is pretty awesome though...and let's be honest, who but potential and future brides watch that show? No one i know except those getting married soon watch it. I know none of my family or friends do. I've heard mixed things about how 'intrusive' the cameras are, but maybe ask your photographer and/or videographer if they have any experiences with them. The LIW bride from last year who was on it and wrote about it on here said she had no problem with them and barely knew they were there.
I'm considering applying when the time comes, my only thing is whether or not i'll be anxious about it the day of...i can see myself obsessing over it and not enjoying the day as much as i would have if i wasn't participating in it.

Should I or shouldn't I?
When I was working at four they taped an episode that we catered at Hempstead house and they made the bride change back on forth in her two dresses several times and the three brides huddled together the whole time (obviously bc they don't know anyone else) it just seemed like extra work that day. I want to win but I also want to spend time w my friends and family. One of my friends goes' sit me at the table w them, I'll either give them the time of their lives or scare them into voting for you!' Hahaha

Should I or shouldn't I?
You can always say no after the interview. I wasn't too familiar with that show, but caught a few episodes lately. The weddings all seem so cheesy! I think you would totally win if you were on it!Welcome New Vendors
