shower invite

I'm confused...(that seems to be my common thread) My sister has asked for a guest list for the shower. How do I determine who to invite? All the women that are invited? Do I include the list from my FH's side or does his mother provide that? Or is it just all the women I'm close to? How do you make a list?

I left my family up to my mother to decide and FH's family up to FMIL. My sister (also my MOH) asked me for a list of friends, I just put my good friends.

There are 175 invited to my wedding - thats about 85 women. i figure I would invite everyone that lives in the area - about 75. is that too many for a shower?? now I feel like that is too many. hmmm.....

I think it all depends on what you want. I am inviting 292 to my wedding, we had 100 ppl at our engagement party, I just wanted something a little smaller for a shower.

We're inviting almost 200 people to the wedding and I believe there will be about 60 invited to my shower...there are a lot of out of towners on my side and I don't really know a lot of people on my FH's side. It will mainly be my close family and friends.

I'm giving my mom a list of my friends to invite to the shower. She will make a list of her friends and family, and FMIL will give her a list of her friends and family.
We'll probably have about 40 people there.

My mom asked me for a list last week. Although we may be inviting 260 to the wedding, my shower list came to 50. We asked FMIL to give me a list of her people, so I could give my mom one consolidated list.

I put my family, my friends, FH's family and a handful of FH's friends' wives that I like and have socialized with.

I was very careful not to include any of my family or friends who are currently on the B list for the wedding!
