Re: Smithtown Landing
Very nice place. I know someone getting married there this summer & my friends brother got married there about 2years ago. There a Lessing's caterer & their food is amazing!! We didn't get to check them out because we fell in love with Timber Point. I wish I could have gotten to see it though. HTH

Re: Smithtown Landing
I am having my reception there in Sept. of 2012 I love it there!!! The catering manager Rich Laureili is super nice and accommodating he offered to get us specific liquor and since he has a culinary background offered to learn and incorporate some of the food of my ethnicity. It's the perfect size for us, we are having about 150 guests I think it goes up to 120. We had a tasting and the food was to die for and they give you a lot for your money as far as ch and dinner choices, plus the grounds are beautiful. If you have any questions feel free to FM me. HTH

We didn't book there, but we really liked SLCC. As the other girls have noted, Rich is great and its really pretty there. Definitely worth checking out!

Re: Smithtown Landing
I went to a wedding there in Dec. I think it would be very pretty for a wedding in the summer, but we had to walk outside from the ceremony to cocktail hour, and then back to the reception, and we had already checked out coats. The cocktail hour was very 'no frills' but the people with the wedding may have taken some things out, which was fine because all we really cared about was the alcohol LOL.
We weren't crazy about the food. And I'm not one of those picky people- I'll eat anything, and it was OK, but not great. HTH!

I'm getting married there this August!! FH and I love the place, we went to a showcase where the food was great - the best man (who is a total foodie) was with us and he said the food is even better at private events!Everyone at Landing is great, they are so accomodating, whether you pop in unannounced or with an appointment!

I went to a wedding there last month.the food was delicious!
it was really bad weather out though - rain and such and we had to walk outside to get to the reception and I was concerned with my hair - but we didn't even get wet since there were overhangs. Just a little wind blown.

FH cousin had their wedding their in July. The only complaint I would say is that she had 210 people and it was really tight. The chairs were right up against each other. The food was good and they had beautiful pictures outside.

Re: Smithtown Landing
We looked there and loved the room and the outdoor ceremony area, and the team there was super friendly and seemed so accomodating. We went to one of their showcases so we could take another look and try the food. Honestly we were not thrilled with the food, which is what kept us from booking. However, they did serve things at the showcase which would not have been our selections. So the food was probably better then we thought, just not our taste.

Thanks for the tips! I'm going to see it this Saturday. If all goes well, I want to set up a tasting ASAP. I heard that the room is gorgeous and that they really go out of their way to accomodate you. However, I keep hearing mixed things about the food. I'll keep you posted! Wish me luck!
