So Disappointed

I just got home from a Labor Day get together and was checking my e-mail and FH's aunt sent me an email regarding my bridal shower. She put in the title of the e-mail ('Your Bridal Shower September 26th'). I'm so upset because it was suppose to be a surprise. I was looking forward to getting surprised :(

She was telling me that she RSVP'd to my sister (MH) but hadn't heard from her and wanted to know where to send the gift. HELLO!!! Why would you e-mail me? Or at least why would you put the date of the bridal shower, just ask me where to send the gift. I'm so upset but I can't even vent to any one because I don't want to ruin the surprise for them. I want them to think that I still don't know, they put a lot of work into making it a surprise.

Ugh! That's so annoying when people do that. I don't know why they assume the bride knows when the majority of the time its a surprise.

Thanks ladies for trying to cheer me up. I wish it was all a set up too, but I know its not. His aunt lives in CA and obviously can't make it to the shower and wants to send a gift for me to open at the shower. She wanted a name, address and telephone number of someone to send the gift to. I know she didn't intentionally tell me (she probably just assumed I knew) but I'm still disappointed. Well on the positive side, I can go buy an outfit now
