I made ziti last week, and I sent us both to work with it for lunch yesterday.
I started feeling sick after about an hour of eating it, and so did Vic.
I hurled for about an hour yesterday. Was in bed at 7pm. I feel so much better today, not 100% but better.
He wasn't able to get it all up and stayed home from work today.
He thinks I tried to off him.

I dont get it. The cheese was not expired, and it's 1 week old - in the fridge the whole time.
Why did it get us so sick? Weird.
maybe I will stay feeling sick for a few and loose some weight.

I NEVER eat food that has been sitting that long though...I have a phobia of leftovers...and you have confirmed my lifelong suspicious...

I usually only give leftovers 3 days to 'expire.'
If I know it's going to be longer than that til I want it again, and it's something that will freeze ok, I toss it in a freezer bag or something and freeze it til I'm ready for it again.

yeah, I guess since I was off from work all last week. I didnt realize how much time had past since I made it. My inner schedule is all off.
I am usually so anal about dates and tossing stuff. 3-4 days max. Yesterday made 6 on the ziti.

same here...DH thinks i'm crazy, but i watched a dateline show on germs in kitchens and leftovers are technically BAD after 2-3 days. i want to throw up when DH insists on eating stuff that's a week old. i brought home leftovers from a restaurant and the box said to throw them out after 24 hours and to only reheat it once.

Definitely.......once something's been reheated and not finished, unfortunately........it has to go BYE-BYE.
