got a $1,300 dress w/o alterations.. mom said she wanted me to have it so she brought it for me

I went way over! I did go to BR it was a very overwhelming.. so i went to Priscilla of Boston in Williston Park .. and that was it i fell in love with the first dress i put on.. It was pricey but it is once in a lifetime ! All said and done it was over ! But i adore my dress!

I got a reeally great deal. My dress was originally about $1400, but got it through RK Bridal for $440! (No alterations, though- those will probably be about $200)

Borrowing the crinoline from my best friend, tiara and veil from Barrons- $130 for both, and shoes were $50 at Davids. So I'm stil way under budget, which is good cause I think it's the only thing that will be!

Found it cheaper and my bridal salon matched it at 546!!!!!!!

My budget was $2,000 and I was able to get it for $1300 (not including alterations).

I didnt really have a budget because I really didnt know how much dresses cost....

$200 extra for the corset back
then alterations and tax
probably $1800

I didn't real have a budget, just didn't want to spend too too much money.

So far dress was $850 w/tax but stll need to do alterations, veil, etc...I am thinking of borrowing someone's tiara but then i think that that is probably something my future daughter (not pregnant now but looking to the future) will want to play dres up with someday...

Basically, pretty happy wiht what i have spent so far and am happy with what is left to do

Mine was around $950, but after alterations, taxes and minor changes to the design of the dress, probably around $1400. Not terrible I guess.

wow I feel like the only jacka**.... I paid $3600 not including alterations,tiara or veil... and I have yet to get shoes...

no budget really.......ended up spending $1,000 in the end without alterations and headepice/veil and all

my original budget was for 1 to 1.5k... After trying on about 50 dresses, I decided on the third dress I tried on which is 4k. This includes nothing else,not the viel, not the tiara, not the shoes or the slip of undergarments or alterations. But I LOVE IT!

It took me about 3 month to finally make the decicion, I feel real guilty spending so much, like I constantly think to myself I can save that money for furniture or whatever, but I also can;t stop feeling that I would never feel as good in any other dress.

Anyway, i don;t have a picture yet, but I do have a pic of the tiara that I am 99.9% sure I will get. I love it because it has marqui swarvoski crystals which match my ring. I feel its a nice way to accentuate it.

Also my dress has no beading so I can do a big tiara like this and it won't get lost or seem like too much. I LOOOOOOVVEEE IT!

Once I get it I will wear it everyday at home....so corny I know!!

i had a buget of like $500 maybe little more.... well dress shopping, w/ veil and all came to 2800, bit over on that buget! fh wanted to kill me

They say that the cap on the alterations is $229
and the bustle is $99 for 9 points. Is that alot? And yes I am very obviously gonna go over budget cause i didnt even get a veil or headpiece yet.

My dress has a detachable train so no bussle for me ... woo hoo

690$ w/ Tax....i was thrilled b/c i wanted it btw 1k-1,500 max! i totally lucked out b/c all stores wanted 1k or more for it..and luckily i got it for wayyyy less!!!!!

I didn't want to spend over $2000, so I went to Renate's and bought a gorgeous gown for $918!!!
I didn't even look at the price when trying it on so I'm very very very happy with it
