Yea, but we are all PEOPLE sitting on the other side of computers somewhere...It's not fair to those people who are directly or purposely insulted or made to feel bad...I think if LIW wants to do something about bad behavior, they should...I'm not saying I know what the answer is...I'm just saying, that not everyone who hangs out in cyber space and frequents this site is a emotionless product just mindlessly cruising the internet.

I think that ladies who wish to name call say vicious things should get a warning. If they continue the nonsense, they should be banned. I have seen people banned in the past who have said much less offensive things than the ones I have been seeing recently.

just got back from lunch........all I have to say is this is a bit odd. I certqinly don't agree with alot of stuff that goes on here when certain ladies get downright disrespectful and making idle threats and such but a time out board is a bit overboard.....u can't really be serious

See...Right here...This is bothersome to me...
But that's just me...You don't know what someone is going to find upsetting or insulting...And it would be impossible to monitor such a thing...But really, am I to send an FM to LIW now and tell them, that the one thing that bugs me more than anything in the world is when people tell me to chill out?

Some have ignore lists-where you can specify the user name(s) that you don't want to read posts from. When you add a user name to your ignore list, those messages posted by that person will be hidden when you read a thread.

Some also have no-holds-barred, flame at will, enter at your own risk sections of their message boards. If you have the guts to post there, you gotta take what's thrown back at you.

CIMINOK, I think the point that you might be missing, is that I agree with you for the most part. Anyone CAN take offense to ANYTHING. And I NEVER get involved with these debates, but I'm bored, so why not, but anyway, yes, anyone can take offense, but if you take it for what it's worth, which is not much at all, then it's no big deal. And not for nothing, but I've seen how people get attacked on here, and I think there's a BIG difference between saying chill out and some of the other nasty things I've seen on here. I guess that's where we're differing our opinions. But whatever. I don't even want to discuss this any further because it's silly, really.

I think the point of this thread from LIW is to point out the ridiculousness of the stuff that's been going on recently and to let those know that it should stop. I haven't seen the posts with people cursing or name calling but in my opinion if ANYONE posts that kind of garbage I would have them banned. This is an internet board and you cannot control who will or won't decide to post in the first place. But you can control it to a certain extent. JMO.
