sorry to go on about it but i need to vent...

i am so depressed. i feel like i'm stuck in a wedding night mare. we booked our hall a year and a half ago, i thought it was set. and now 3 months before my wedding i have no hall.

i didn't cry tonight when we met with the manager of BCE, i didn't cry on the way home, i was just in shock. i didn't cry till RIGHT NOW. and now i'm sitting here with tears down my face and i just feel so hopeless.

i'm sorry, i already wrote a post about it but i guess i just needed to get this out.

i wouldn't mind having it at windows on the lake and i appreciate that they offered that to us, but i really don't wanna change my date. but the night before memorial day is such a popular date, how am i going to find a hall that is available?!?!

again i'm sorry, but FH is asleep and i feel like it all just hit me and i have nobody to talk to about it.

aww thanks...my date twins are really pullin for me!!

i will be ok. i was just having a moment. ever since i got home i have been on here going through the prices thread, the 08 brides thread, the RHs listed under vendors, and even the big list of RH's w pricing and capacity info. I made a list of over 20 halls and my SIL offered to call them tomorrow...i hope a few of them still have my date.

i just need to wait and see before i get so upset. but thank you for listening.

Jeanette.... I can't find your other post. What happened? Why is your RH changing things? I must have missed something. Let's figure out which halls you are interested in (based on budget, likes/dislikes, distance, etc...) and then we can all help you call places to find out what has that available date. I'm so sorry you are going through this..

Try to focus on the positive and good things will come to you...i know i sound like a commercial or something....but TRY... you may wind up paying less now because of the short amount of time you have left....

You are fortunate that your original hall will give you a full refund...

You are fortunate because everyone on this site LOVES you & you will NOT be doing this alone. Is there anywhere I can call for you tomorrow??

yeah it has to do w the renovations they wanted to do and they haven't started yet, don't know if they will be able to at all...the town is giving them a hard time...but they are starting renovations as soon as they get approval and that will probably be some time between now and my wedding...and w everything they want to do, it probably wouldn't be done by my wedding day even if they started right now.

thanks so much for the offer to help. my SIL is gonna call around for me tomorrow, but i really appreciate you and everyone who has offered to help me. i can't even tell you what that means to me.

And you may luck out ... you may end up with an even more fantastic hall who happens to have the date available .... lots of halls will give an extra discount to fill the date when it is less than 6 months to go.

Did you order your invitations yet?!?!? If you did, and you are getting married at a church, then it will be easy to fix ... you'll just need new Reception cards.

Your previous hall should pick up the cost of reprinting any invitations if they were ordered, its their fault that you'd have to get them redone.
