Speaking about reason we love our FH/DH

My Fh called me this morning....and I was surprised because on Sunday he left for a mission and I wouldn't be talking to him for about 2 weeks.

but he called and said that his humve got hit by an IED (road side bomb). He said everyone was okay thankfully because it wasn't a huge one. But he has some scraps and bruises and some burns (and a couple on his face) and the first thing he said to me was: I am so worried about our wedding pics now I hope these scars go away! lol he is to cute and then he said 'when we got hit I was soo scared the first thing I thought about was you'

Sorry I am very down today so I just thought I would post this to make me feel a little better.

Anyone else have any stories that helped them put things into perspective...like not to go crazy anymore about the wedding...because not only did this help but jsut in general FH being away and in Iraq has helped me stay calm and not crazy over wedding things.

i don't know that i have anything to share other than, we are here for you and i wanted to give you a hug..

OMG!!!! That's horrible!! I can't imagine what you go through with FH over there!!!! It puts everything in perspective!!!

I would like to thank your FH for all he is doing for us and thank you for being his support. withouth the spouses support..they wouldn't be able to do what they do over there!!!

you are such a strong woman. i dont know how you do it. with my FH's job I have moments like these where I am frightened for him, but at least he comes home everynight. stay strong. soon he will be in your arms as your husband. we are all here for you!

your FH is so brave and selfless to put his life on the line everyday. give him hugs from all of us here at home


God bless you and your FH for loving each other through time apart, war, and things like this when life seems so scary and hard.

its is true....fh says it all the time and every other person that is married with ihm over there says it ....having their spouses support is the biggest thing because it helps them get through it

thanks danielle...it stunk because i was hvaing a bad day to begin with then he calls me on my way to work and tells me this and i am like holy sh*t. but then of course his joking self made me laugh and cry haha. but i am okay its just a shocker you know...like your story danielle. it scares the sh*t out of us!!!

i am soo glad we have each other!!!!

it is hard not going to lie...but fh also gives me the support i give him so we help each other be strong. and i am sure any of you could do it to if it was your FH/DH. I am no different. I am just going through it now.

For the one you love you will walk across fire if it meant they would be okay, and i have to tell you i think of that everynight before i go to bed. i am not very religious but i always pray to my brother (who has passed) and tell him to watch after chris that I don't care about me right now i need him to be his guardian angel. And i am telling you it has made me feel better and i actually believe it has protected fh (although he doesnt believe it )

stories like that do put things into perspctive and make me remember, it's not about the day (hair, makeup, dress, scars, flowers) it's about the marriage and the love. Thanks for that!
