Spin off from Slim down. Do you think you have the?
Right to pass judgement on friends who do drugs and I don't mean drugs as a ADDICTION but as a PARTY PLEASURE!

Re: Spin off from Slim down. Do you think you have the?
I think you have a right to pass concern, not judgement. I am 24 years old, did my fair share of partying, but there comes a time when you grow up and act like an adult.I am the type of person who speaks my mind, I don't hold much back. I have friends who still partake in 'party pleasure' on 'special' occasions, and I speak my mind. If you don't want to hear my mouth, don't do it around me. JMO

Re: Spin off from Slim down. Do you think you have the?
I'm not sure if 'right' is the correct word...we can pass judgment (and do) on anyone we please..What I think is important...pleasure use leads to addiction...and as a friend you should help to keep your friends safe...

I just don't think you should pass judgement on anyone you consider a 'friend'. But that's just me.

Re: Spin off from Slim down. Do you think you have the?
I am not sure what you mean by pass judgment. I disapprove of all use of illegal drugs because an addiction begins with recreational use. If that is passing judgment, then I suppose my answer to your questions is a big fat YES.

Re: Spin off from Slim down. Do you think you have the?
Hmm.. good question. I used to be more active with drugs than I am now, but don't do ANYTHING anymore. I feel like I don't need them to have fun anymore... so do I feel negatively toward my friends who still do them? I have to admit that I do... I think there comes a time in your life when you have to stop that level of partying. I'm specifically talking about hard drugs, not alcohol or pot. I have no problem with ppl doing those two. So I guess I am projecting my own opinions on my friends, but again... it's just an opinion. I'd never stop being friends with them because of it. It does worry me, however... especially ecstasy. It's not worth risking your life for a few hours of a high, if you ask me...

Re: Spin off from Slim down. Do you think you have the?
I can't come up with a straight answer for this one. I don't think anyone has a right to pass judgment on anyone else in general, but I'd be lying if I said I NEVER pass judgment, because after all, I'm only human. When it comes to drug use, it depends on the drug itself - certain drugs are more deadly and addictive than others so I don't hold them up to the same standard. I wouldn't pass judgment on someone who occasionally uses marijuana, but other drugs are a lot more serious IMO.

Re: Spin off from Slim down. Do you think you have the?
Not judgement, but if the 'party pleasure' becomes an everyday type of thing where bills are not being paid and they are missing work then I would voice my concern for them as a friend

Re: Spin off from Slim down. Do you think you have the?
I think it's individual - not all 'party pleasures' lead to addiction. We all have our vices, for sure...but I think it's on an individual basis. And no offense Kim921, but the worst people are the 'born agains'. It's fine that people 'find their way' but don't push the hypocritical BS on my a$$.

Re: Spin off from Slim down. Do you think you have the?
I 'pass judement' on everyone based on their actions. Some judgements are good, some are bad.Anyone who says they dont form some opinion on every single person they have met on the information they know (looks, actions, history, etc..) is not being very honest with themselves.
That being said - its no business of mine how someone wants to live their life as long as it doesnt effect me. So I would not say anything about it.

I don't think I have the right to pass judgement on anyone for anything. If I feel someone is in trouble, all I can do is offer to help.

Re: Spin off from Slim down. Do you think you have the?
cp0329- Huh? I am totally confused. Who's a born again? All I said was I did it when I was younger, but don't touch the stuff anymore. I am older and not a 'kid' anymore. I don't pass judgement on my friends, I voice concern if I see it gets out of hand. Whats the problem with that?
