Spin off to NYPD wives

It's always suprising what a small world it is sometimes. It's always nice to hear about other nypd wives or couples in general that have 'different' working schedules.


What tour does everyones FH work?

My fhs sched changes every week i have a calendar with Os & Ws. Horrible! lol my Fh works 7pm-7am. sucksssss!

Ok and as I am writing this I heard someone yell F the police outside my window! lol wow! did i mention i cnt wait to move out of brooklyn?! lol

LOL yepppp I cant live w/o mine! i think people think I lie when I tell them me FH cant hang out on a given date. UGH FH works midnights!! Booooo!!!
He's finally off this weekend, but going to a bach party in AC tomorrow so I wont see him :(

my fiance works the 4-12. It's not easy but his RDO's end up being our date nights so we really appreciate and make the most of the time we do have when he's off.

I am the same way with my calendar- I count ahead and mark all his days off for the year! It's the only way I know if he will be free for something in the future.

Where in Queens is he??? my FH is in Queens - and OMG i have X's on all the nights he has off LOLOLOL I know his schedule through 2012 - In fact our wedding is on day 2 of a 3 day RDO and i made sure of it LOLOL

When FH out transferred his squad changes so i was like WHAT! 'I already marked down your RDOs for the year!' FH laughed and said for the year? Now my poor calendar really has RDO written all over it. (LOL)

FH is in bayside now.

Same here, prior to FH and I buying a house together i'd stay at his place during the week. With me working days and him midnights (at the time) it just made since to stay at his place.

Now with working 4bys.. i look forward to his RDOs. I always joke and saying i never see you and we live together! If you do the math we see another maybe a HOUR a day (AWAKE) when he works

ye us girls have a lot to deal with! lol

Ladies... I know this all too well!!

I only see FH on his RDO's and well as you know, they only have weekends every 3 months - so it suxxxx!!!!

its funny tho bc i have X's on every calendar for his RDO's

DH works 6pm-2:30am.
Crappy hours cuz he's not home at night and he sleeps all day.

where is he?

i know im not nypd, but fdny has a rough schedule too!

i never know when he is workuing which makes it worse!! he works 24s or 12s, sometimes he is off for a month, and other times he works just days for 5 days a week.

either way he still always manages to get the summer time off

i have a calendar too, but i can't keep track of when he's off b/c i make him work so much overtime.
