It's always suprising what a small world it is sometimes. It's always nice to hear about other nypd wives or couples in general that have 'different' working schedules.

What tour does everyones FH work?

When FH out transferred his squad changes so i was like WHAT! 'I already marked down your RDOs for the year!' FH laughed and said for the year? Now my poor calendar really has RDO written all over it. (LOL)

FH is in bayside now.

DH works 6pm-2:30am.
Crappy hours cuz he's not home at night and he sleeps all day.

my fiance used to have that shift. it's terrible. i NEVER saw him.

DH works 4-midnight and is off weekends. I usually see him in passing when I come home on my lunch hour

I don't really mind because there are much worse shifts.

I think us ladies all have to X out the RDO's otherwise we will go crazy trying to figure off when our boys are off!

FH is on Midnights, def makes the nights lonely. My work schedule can be flexable from time to time so I am able to spend time with FH sometimes lol

I feel like our group of friends are all cops so it makes it extremely difficult to spend time with friends as well.

BTW FH has 3 cops in his Groomsman party... very difficult to get everyone together!

and now.... FH is studying for the Sergeants exam... even more time without him!! :(

ohhhhh did I mention. we found out the Sergeants exam is at 9:00am the morning after out wedding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YES!!! I was upset at first but now ive just come to terms with it. or shall I say, i am trying to come to terms with it. What else can i do??? Atleast it was not the day of the wedding and we are going on our Honeymooon the day after the exam so it didnt interfer too much i guess..... ???!!!!??? lol

FH works in the 104 - Ridgewood, Queens.

it's supposed to be extremely hard, but he wants to see what it's like.

I guess I am kinda lucky.....FH works Monday-Friday, 7am-330pm... Only thing that sucks is the massive amounts of OT he works in the Summer on the weekends for Parades etc. But I guess I should be happy he's able to get the OT.

FH's brother is also a cop and works in Bayside at the 111.

FH works 4-12, and I believe he is Squad B. I keep track of his RDO's on the calendar as well. He's in Brooklyn Housing right now, but passed the Sergeant's exam and is waiting to be called for promotion.

Let's do an NYPD Wives G2G, so we can all complain together. ;)
