I chose Floral Terrace b/c there is only 1 wedding there, it is an old theatre and the dance floor is raised I love that.

Also, I didn't want it at one of those popular places that people have been to 5 weddings at. I think only a handful of my guests have ever been there and I am excited for them to experience it

I chose George Washington Manor b/c it's a very intimate room, and I don't know too many brides that get married there. FH liked it b/c it has history.

Since I had to give up my beach wedding, I wanted some place on the water. Riviera has an awesome view and even better price.

MY sister got married there and it was the best wedding i have ever been too. My cousin also. But the food is amazing.

milleridge was the first place we looked at.. and every other hall i visited didnt have the same feel to me.

I loved the atrium where the cocktail hour would be.. and i loved the 'country' feel i got from the rest of the hall... wooden floors, fireplace.. its beautiful

Our biggest thing when picking was that our wedding be the only one that night. Also we wanted something different that we knew our family have neber done. When we walked into the Bourne we fell in love with its history and charm

I wanted the wedding to be have a really intimate feel (even with 300+ guests!)...so I chose WM for it's homey look and feel...and it's history. Plus I love that when you walk in, the first thing you see is a roaring fire going in the fireplace (in the winter at least).

FH wanted it. It wasn't my first choice, but he really loved it. Now that we booked, I'm so happy with it now.

We chose the Estate because of the beautiful outside ceremony location (big plus) and the 2 rooms in which the cocktail are held. I love how cozy it is and that there is only one wedding going on (in the estate part)
PS as I was typing that.. sitting down finally to relax.. i spilled my nice cold Bud on myself and the couch. So much for relaxing.. I swear if i dont get something on my dress the day of my wedding it will be a miracle

our main reasons for choosing timber point were:
1. only 1 wedding at a time
2. perfect ceremony accomodations
3. great food & reputation

i knew that i didn't want to have a hall that alot of people would have (no offense) i love the fact that it's big enough to accomodate a lot of people but small enough where you don't feel overwhelmed.

i couldn't be happier!!!!

we chose NRC because they only host 1 event at a time, so i know they'll only be concentrating on us.

the room! i love our room! and the overall elegance of the place!!! also knowing that it is a scotto family runned put me at ease,..knowing the food will be great!

I wanted a one wedding venue with an old victorian feel. I loved westbury manor and FH loved NRC so to settle we booked milleridge, which still had all the aspects I was looking for in a RH

We chose The Metropolitan because it is different than a lot of RH on Long Island. FH grew up in Commack & I went to Hofstra- so between proms, weddings, sorority/fraternity formals, etc... we have been to so many places on LI and didn't want to repeat. Wanted something that was our own. We LOVE the feel the The Met (more lounge/ classy looking) and Eileen who we met with- her and I INSTANTLY clicked and I felt like I could totally trust her. I've said this before on here- but when FH & I walked out of our meeting with The Met. I couldn't stop smiling and he said 'I feel like we just got engaged all over again!!!' LOL

FH is a North Fork native and didn't want to go west of Riverhead.

Anyway, it worked out, because I absolutely love it out there now (and will become a resident in 5 months). We wanted a vineyard feel, but didn't have the $ for it, so...next best thing.

We were looking for a package deal, money is beyond tight and he is the only one working as I stay home with our 1 year old daughter.
So I was searching and searching and my MOH called me up and was like I saw that Brentwood Country Club has an amazing package deal.. So I figured what the heck, I called them and made an appt....
We walked in, talked to the wonderful guys there, and decided right then and there... We had seen a few places before and we just fell in love.. We knew right away... And I knew it was a def when FH told me to 'stop looking, this is the place!'
And on top of that, it is where FMIL & FFIL had their reception 28 years ago.. So it kind of makes it extra special... The food, atmosphere, grounds, people, and package are all exceptional... Im in love!!!

We heard that MPI makes their pasta homemade on site, and we're fat and we enjoy eating.

FH and I were looking for a place that was one wedding at a time, had an intimate setting, and also wanted a place where people most likely haven't been to yet. We wanted to bring people to something new, Ive been to so many of the bigger RH for so many weddings, we just wanted to be different. NRC gave us everything we wanted, and then some!! I am so damn excited for next year. even FH gets excited thinking about have the reception at NRC
We walked in for the first time at the NRC and he turned to me and we smiled and he goes 'I dont even want to go anywhere else'
