Basso est on Orchard Street in Manhattan... It is a cute little Italian Restaurant. Excellent Food. I actually went there on a date a few years back with someone else- although I didn't care for the date I loved the food and atmosphere. that is how I got the idea

Jimmy picked me up and surprised me with a nice dinner at Ruths Chris. We were there for HOURS just talking and had some wine and such yummy food. Then went back to his apartment

ummm i dont really remember actually - its a little foggy - i guess we were kind of sneaking around - he still kind of had a g/f and my ex b/f was a psycho and would stalk me - literally stalk me - sit in his car parked in my neighborhood where he could still see my house and he would just wait there all night to see who picked me up, dropped me off, what i was doing - it was bananas! - so there were a lot of late nights just getting coffee and bs'ing in his car or at 'our spot' - which is actually where we had our eparty - im not even sure when we had our first official date - somehow we just ended up hanging out all the time, then living together, then engaged

it was actually at a bar on austin street in forest hills . I met him through J-date and just in case it wasn't going to go well, I wanted an easy out . We were just going to meet for one drink, which turned into five drinks , and the rest is history

OK this is a hard one for me!

We met in Vegas (I lived there) and he was visiting so the first two nights we hung out at Ghost Bar and in the hotel (but NOTHING Happened yet...I swear)

Then he came down to visit and we went to Lake Las Vegas and Red Rock Canyon! It was an amazing weekend and I showed him the funner/better side of Vegas!

OK I am taking this post to another level and posting some pics from our first date weekend!

our first date:

January 3, 1998.

He picked me up and had to come in to meet my mom or she wouldn't let me out of the house. (I had just turned fifteen).

We took the bus to the movies and saw Jackie Brown and didn't really like it. Then we took a cab home and sat in front of my house for a little while. We were both shy and didn't even kiss. He always tells me that he wasn't even going to call me because he figured I wasn't in to him. But since I was fifteen and didn't know about any 'rules' I called him THAT night.



ten years later. . . .

we went to brokerage comedy club and to churchills for drinks!

September 12, 2004:

We met for lunch at the Applebees in Huntington and then took his car to Sunken Meadow Beach/ Park. We walked along the boardwalk and held hands, and then we sat on a bench in the shade and just talked and laughed. That's where we shared our first kiss

Then we headed back to the Applebees lot and since neither of us wanted the date to end, we went into the Barnes and Noble and had coffee. We stayed there til they closed at 9pm. Then we spent another hour standing by our cars just talking and kissing.

Our first date lasted 8 hours and was amazing!!

FH was meeting me in Forest Hills. He was running very early and as usual I was running late. That day I had to drop off my board application for my co-op. So he came with me to the realtor's office and had to wait 30 min. in the waiting room while I reviewed everything with her. Then we went to Portofino for dinner and Cold Stone for ice-cream and just took a walk around Forest Hill's afterwards and chatted. We did kiss on the first date but just a little peck.

He took me to Vincents and then Jones Beach, where we had our first kiss!!!
I knew the second that he dropped me off that this was the one

We went to a Carnival, then to dinner and the last stop was the movies.

We actually did NOT have a meal! We went to the movies to see 50 First Dates.. how appropriate right? I don't even remember a 2nd or 3rd date per se... we kinda just fell right into a relationship from there. But we had also known each other for a few years already (coworkers).
