That is just freakin' horrible!! SMDH at ppl being so ignorant! I know Swan Club will do a gay weddings. There is a gay couple on here who is booked there.

they didnt tell me where they went.. surprisingy. They said they didnt want to make a big deal about it and cause more aggrevation. its suppose to be a happy time for them.. I guess I agree w that logic.

No, it's not a typo. I meant that legally the owner of a business can turn same sex couples away. I obviously don't agree with it, but they can't take legal action. However, we as brides can spread the word and choose not to support their business.

not that i dont believe you, but I have never ever heard of this law... and Ive been doing event planning for years. Every place I have ever worked made sure to go above and beyong for gay couples, knowing that other places were such jerks.

If they can't NOT hire you based on gender preference how can they NOT do a revenue generating party

I'm pretty sure the law is that someone can refuse to perform your marriage i.e. a priest or minister can say they do not want to marry a certain couple because it goes against their beliefs..... i'm not too sure that places of business can legally discriminate against certain people. Now i'm looking up new laws on protected classes because this has me intrigued lol

I know Lessings offers the LGBT community a 'special' rate for weddings!

This reminds me of when my friend got married in 2010 the priest wouldn't marry them because they were a biracial couple.
