Re: Starting the adoption process..where do I post now?

I work with someone who adopted a boy from Russia 2 years ago, and is leaving today to go adopt a little girl.
He is so happy. I know he is staying there for a few weeks.

Best of luck to you!!!

Re: Starting the adoption process..where do I post now?

I am so happy for you! You and your husband are very selfless people and the love you already have for this child will undoubtedly be returned to you times a million. Adoption is a wonderful thing. My cousin, who has adopted from China and Latin America, always jokes that it's 'all the perks of motherhood without the stretch marks.' All jokes aside though, she (as well as every other person I know that has adopted) is SO happy she made the decision to adopt. Just think --- in just a short while you will be able to hold and nurture a beautiful child that would otherwise be neglected. Please keep us updated on your website. My sister and I are both interested in adopting and would find your website very helpful. Good luck and God Bless!

Re: Starting the adoption process..where do I post now?

Alicia, I just wanted to share...and this happens all the time...today I went into this doctor's office first and I was giving my info to the lady at the desk, and then 5 minutes alter my mom came in after parking the car, and she looked at my mom and said 'oh, this si your daughter! you have such a strong resemblance!'

Everyone can also tell that me and my sister are sisters, meanwhile I'm not biologically related to any of them. Even though I'm more similar genetically to my parents than your child will probably be to you, I'm sure that you'll find the child or children who will fit in so perfectly with you and DH. Even though I have biological parents somewhere out there, I really feel like I was MEANT to be my mother's daughter, and in the family I'm in now. God wanted us to be together.

I really will pray that you will find the same experience, and I have 100% faith that you will.

Re: Starting the adoption process..where do I post now?

I want to wish you the best of luck with this process. I think you are great to be doing it (although you probably just think it is your chance to have a child and don't realize the chance for life that you give the child)

I also want to say that you should stay here on TTC and on parenting. Just because you aren't going the traditional method of conceiving a child, you are, in a different way, trying to have a child.

You need as much support and advice on preparation as those who are trying other methods.

Good luck!
