STD Question

When sending the STD cards, if you are inviting the whole family, can you write,
'Smith Family' of should it read, 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith' on one card, and do individuals for each other guest (Son & daughter). Since it's just the STD card, should I just do 'Smith Family' and the invites will be individuals?

I sent mine out like this: 'To the Smith Family'

I used informal titles 'the smith family' 'dan and cindy smith' etc.
