At my cousin's wedding someone stole the money in the card box!!!! Can you believe this?!!!
How many of you will keep the money in the card box? or designate someone to take it out periodically and hold it safe?
I can't believe this could happen!!! This makes me scared to trust that the money will be in there at the end of the night!
Any words?

eekk those stories are scarrry !!!! I think mine is going to be the centerpiece of our sweetheart table which is on a little stage so i don't think i'll have to worry about it !!!
just in case i'm going to glue a pretty ribbon the the bottom of the box and then tie it to the table so it looks like a table runner !!!

OMG thats horrible... if anything make sure to bring a lock box and have one person designated to hold the money, cards etc in the lock box.

that's aweful!!! what is WRONG with people?! hopefully most of the gifts were checks & can't be cashed(and hopefully the guests will cancel & re-write them)...but it's still aweful that she's going to miss out on all those cash gifts my card box was huge & was behind us all night..even if we were up dancing i dont think it would've been possible for someone to walk out with it & not be noticed!
That makes me sick to my stomach that people would steal gifts at a WEDDING! Especially since everybody invited is basically your 'friend'. Ugh.
I'm gonna do this idea though. Keep the card box behind us. Even if we're not sitting at our table, I'm sure nobody would be able to do anything evil right there. Maybe i'll assign family to keep their eyes on it. that's such a pain!! I don't know WHAT we'd do if that happened to us. We're really counting on those gifts to pay us back for this expensive wedding.
