Being a teacher I have never gotten a X-mas bonus, just some candles and coffee mugs from my students.

I am shocked to hear soooo many people get amazing bonuses.

Do you get one and is it good?

idk, it's my first year with a new company so I doubt anything, in years past I would get cash (four figures) and a lux gift, one year a Gucci bag, another year a Burberry coat. FH;s :is 20% of his salary, but we are in two completly different industries.

i get a really good bonus. last year it was more that half my salary, which is high also. Yeah, I'm lucky, but i work my *** off. Hopefully find out this week what this year's bonus is...

at my old job i would get 2 weeks pay as a bonus
i haven't been at my new job during xmas yet, i started in january. but get this, the part time lady in my office got a bonus today with her paycheck from payday on friday. i got my check on friday, no bonus?!?!?!?!?! rumor has it he gives a 2nd paycheck as a bonus, i'm gonna be pissed if i don't get one and the pt person does. i got a tax season bonus, but most of that was for actually OT i worked plus a little extra. hopefully my boss doesn't cheese out on me, i work my a$$ off for him.

I don't know about my company either (I started in January also).

Maybe the part time person is off this week or the day that he is giving it out to full time employees. I know a lot of our part timers are off this week and next because it is quiet.

The word on the street at my job is that we get a pretty decent bonus. I have only been there 5 months but I am hoping for something Our company has done pretty well this year so it should be good! My last job didn't do bonuses.

i get a cash bonus, bc of the market this year they didn't give as much as the normally would've but im still happy with it...i read someone mentioning 6 figure bonuses, did you ever see what ppl at goldman sachs get ...mine is 4 figures

yeah i heard even the secretaries get ridiculous bonuses

We get a bonus/ profit sharing... A couple hudred I think based on tenure and performance of company. I'm in sales so any other bonuses I get are based on sales performance....

I am with a new firm this year and I have been here almost a year so I am excited and nervous to see what we get. I HATE it when you get a gift... I don't want $100 to Macys...

I'll keep you updated since I think we get them on Friday!

im a teacher too and my 'xmas bonus' is just a couple of mugs, cheap perfume, and some candles....

don't forget teacher's choice if you're in nyc.

actually, my school just got selected for a merit based performance trial. so i MAY be getting $3,000 at the end of the yes. (that's a big if though.)

Peanuts bonus...but I do get nice things from my customers!

To all the teachers what gifts do you like? I have to get my kids teachers a gift and I want it to be nice. One teacher is male the other female. I was thinkin of getting the lady teacher a pocket mirror with either her name or #1 teacher engraved. Let me know....thanks!!!

I work for the government and they don't give out bonuses - he!! I'd be happy if they would just settle on the budget this way I wouldn't have to worry every friday if there will be work the next monday.
