story about my crappy birthday.

Original post by DrBeLLaRoSe

so i am starting to think that i might be going nuts soon, since all i seem to be having lately is drama in my life. My fiance left the country last week to go see his sick grandfather. So this saturday was my bday and one of my bridesmaids made plans with me for saturday night dinner to chear me up since i was alone and missing my fh (many of you know we had a fight last week too).

let me just say i have never had a more terrible night in my life. First we went to dinner at a place called sparks in manhattan. Dinner was ok, we had a nice time, i had two glasses of wine. (I am very much a lightweight in terms of drinking since i never go out anymore.) Then we went to a club called spirit. Since she paid for dinner i figured i would pay for the entrance fee. When we got in we found out it was gay night. I asked my friend if we could leave and go somewhere else but she did not want to, so we stayed and i figured i would make the best of it (i was just going to dance anyway i did not want to meet any guys.) As the night went on i had two more drinks and lost track of my friend. I looked around for her for a while and could not find her. Finally she found me and said she had been talking to her boyfriend on the phone, and she was so upset because he was across the street at a club called Quo with his friends. I told her we could go over there if she wanted to. She said no, it was my night and she did not want to see him, 'he can come over here if he wants to see me.' So the night goes on, and before i know it there is a group of guys (one of them my friend's bf) yelling at us and telling us it is time to leave. I was pretty drunk so i found the commotion kind of upsetting. After we went and got our coats, i remembered i had left my i.d. and my atm card with the bartender since we had a tab running. So i told my friend that i had to go back down to get it. She said ok so i went downstairs and was waiting for the bartender to print out my receipt and give me my id back. Before i knew it one of the guys was yelling at me to hurry up and saying that i was being so selfish and i should be thinking about my friend. I was so confused and started crying. Then we all left the club and my friend was walking with her bf so far ahead of me and i was stuck in the back with all those guys who were being mean. One of the guys pulled me aside, and said stop acting like this because my bm told everyone that i was on drugs and that is why her boyfriend had to come rescue her at the club. I flipped out and told them i would take a cab home and before i knew it i was in a cab (nobody tried to stop me) going home with no money. I still have not heard from my bridesmaid.

so needless to say i am writing her off as a friend for good. But it takes such a toll on me emotionally.

First off happy belated b-day

Second I would cut her off what kind of friend does s ometing liek that. That is just wrong. Telling people your on drugs. I would never leave my friend alone even if my BF came and met me at a club bar or where ever. I came out with you and I am not going to leave you and make you take a cab home especially not by yourself. I know myself and I would of called her the next day and flipped out on her and find out why the hell she said what she said just to get it off my chest and then cut her out of the bridal party and out of my life you don't need enimies with a friend like that. What a b*tch

OMG what a horrible story. I'm so sorry

I wish i had some words of wisdom for you. I would write her off too.

as for those guys, $crew them. those kind of people are the people that don't love themselves and have to be mean to other people to make themselves feel better.

Let me give u tons of hugs

I have a friend who has done stuff like that to me- and I hold her at arms length now. I know how hard it can be though- takes a real toll emotionally.

Just know that we are here for you- FM me if you want to talk or vent

First of all..HAPPY Belated BIRTHDAY...Birthday Twin...it was my birthday Saturday as well...

Second of all...I'm soo sorry that you had to spend your b-day away from FH and that it ended up being such a terrible night...

I think you were nice enough to give her a second chance of redeeming herself after the first fallout...she obviously can not take that as a cue...so I say move on and forget about her...friends should be sticking up for you not putting you down...you are better off

Happy Belated Birthday....I'm soooo sorry you had such a horrible night. I agree with the rest of the girls and as you said yourself ....you hate losing friends...but this one definitely sounds like she qualifies! Even if the friend was making it up...why didn't she call you after? Sounds like a fishy story on her part. I'm sorry again...no one deserves that.

So sorry to hear about your nightmare birthday night but I think you are doing the right thing by not being friends with her anymore. I normally wouldn't say that but she seems like a psycho and it was horrible of her to let you take a cab home like that.

i just want to thank everyone who replied to my post. I read all your answers and you guys made me feel so much better. FH came home on Monday and he has been helping me feel better too.

As for my friend/enemy: this is what she wrote to me in an email 3 days later:

'Its funny how you have me blocked from your buddy list. I really thought that you were different and an adult who can tell someone why they are mad. And no I don't know why you are mad at me. I guess I was wrong to call you a friend. How would you feel if someone does something for you and then you turn on them. Wow real smart Rose, and you want to be a doctor!!!!!!!!!!
Write back and give me an explanation for what happend.'

I really don't want anything to do with her... i just want to move on now, and get to feeling happy for a change. Better to have her show her true colors now then have her pull all her drama at the wedding.

This is the girl who supposedly spread rumors about you and then ditched you on your birthday??? Rose you are a smart girl...smart enough to know you don't need people like this around you.

Forget her! You are better off without her.
