Okay so my FH was in Atlantic City this past weekend for his friends bachelor party. And the last stop they made was to a strip club. Now there's nothing i can do about it. It was his friends bachelor party and i certainly don't expect my FH to sit anything out. But i had a few thoughts on the topic...
-lots of people say that it's their last chance to see some boobs or naked bodies. Now correct me if i'm wrong, but didn't the guys think of this before they put the damn ring on your finger? I mean when you give the girl a ring... it sort of means that she's it, doesn't it? And that she's the last person you're ever going to sleep with? So if you want to see more boobs or a*ses... shouldn't you wait to give her the ring or at least visit the strip club before you propose to get it out of your system? I mean how romantic is it that your FH has to go to a strip club right before he marries you? Wow that says romance to me!!!![]()
-Okay so say your FH is at a bar and him and a group of people leave. Then he realizes he has to pee and this girl in the group says oh i'm right around the corner, you can use my bathroom (i know its far fetched, but keep with me). When your FH comes out of the bathroom, she all of a sudden comes out of the room naked.... shouldn't your FH feel awkward and that he shouldn't be seeing this, much less be there? That's its very inappropriate? So why is it okay to see someone naked as long as you PAY for it?
I know i'm rambling and all, but it just aggravates me. I mean just because some people say it's acceptable to pay to see naked women, doesn't mean that it's okay. If you're single, that's one thing. But especially when you're engaged... how is it appropriate or acceptable to see other naked women!?!?!?! My FH definitely wouldn't like me showing my goods to other people, so why would it be okay for him to see someone else's goods?![]()

If a woman objects to her FH going to a strip club, many of the woman who don't care if their FH's go to strip clubs or get lap dances, end up accusing the girl who is upset about not trusting her man, or being insecure.

*And just to say it because i'm not sure if it's been said... but for those of you girls who think that some of these strip clubs & bachelor parties are harmless... well then you're just being naive and/or your relationship with your FH might not be as honest as you think it is. I'm not saying all of you, just some. They're not harmless and some of you would be disgusted if you knew what actually went on at some of them!![]()
The 'bashing' is coming from both ends.
The point of a debate is not to change people's minds - it's to make them understand your viewpoint. We don't need to call each other names or insult one another to effectively make a point.

Yeah, but unfortunately that's not happening.
aliwnec10 stated something in her original post and then got attacked. If she went on the defense to TRY to make people understand what she ORIGINALLY stated, then so be it.
Everything got taken way out of context and now look at where it's gotten everyone... NO WHERE.

No it wouldn't bother me. Just like Beth said... I would simply say 'have a good time!'.
1. Its *HARMLESS* fun. Key word: HARMLESS. Is she having sex with the guy? Nope. Is she getting the guy's number? Nope. Does she have any feelings whatsoever for this guy? Nope.
2. I refuse to 'TELL' my wife what she can and can't do. She wouldn't 'TELL' me what to do. I don't 'TELL' her what to do.
And in regards to 'making compromises'.... yeah there are plenty of times you have to compromise in a marriage... over SERIOUS issues. We compromise over paying the bills. Doing the daily chores. Running the house.
I can understand if the guy is going out to a strip club every weekend. I can totally see that leading to a problem.
But for an occasional bachelor or bachelorette party... its such petty stuff. Not serious.
I showed my wife this thread and she laughed her a$$ off. She can't believe that some women actually think this way.
Her first response to me was 'Aren't you glad I don't act like that'.

I'm curious. For those who won't 'let' their FI/DH go to strip clubs, how do you feel about them looking at porn? Is that any different? What about watching movies with naked women in them? Where do you draw the line? What makes one ok and not the other?

FH doesnt like strip clubs, thankfully. most of his friends dont either. i think it may be a cultural thing as he isnt american.

I agree...I have no problem if my man wants to go to a strip club....its a matter of trust. I trust him not to do anything he is not suppose to do. I actually tried to set up his bachlor party because his best man is older and lives in Florida (needless to say it didn't work since he cancelled with his friend) but I told his friend to go all out for him and if that included a strip club...so be it. I know he's coming home to me and would never disrespect me.

On another note, FH has told me many times that I should be glad that he's not like 'most guys' - because, all strip clubs AREN'T harmless, there are some really seedy, shady places that have back rooms (actually some of the so-called 'classy' joints have the back rooms too), where ANYTHING goes.
Which brings me to a related subject that FH and I often talk about...'Happy Endings' - which he claims almost every guy in America has had (except for him, of course)![]()

FH has told me about the Happy Ending. I don't believe that all guys have gotten one though. In my mind that's just like going to a prostitute. Again, this comes down to trust. I trust that my FH will not get a Happy Ending at his BP.

Yeah you are right actually. I never got one... so I didn't know for sure.
I know an old co-worker of mine did get one once. After getting a massage off craigslist.
