Sunday Wedding?

I was wondering how everyone feels about Sunday weddings? My wedding will be on a Sunday and we got a great price for it, but I am concerned because I have heard people say that guests won't come to a Sunday wedding because they have work the next day? I am really concerned about this, but I feel like if they really loved us they would show up no matter what! Please help!

Sunday Wedding?

I fully believe that. If they love you people will show up regardless and take off monday if they have to. I think Sunday's are better than fridays because at least most people aren't tired from work the day of. Dont worry!

Sunday Wedding?

I would have done an afternoon or a Sunday wedding if we didn't have family coming in from out of state. The people who want to be there are going to be there regardless of what day it is, I wouldn't stress about it!

Sunday Wedding?

People will definitely come! I have heard of people taking it easy on the booze for Sunday's being they have work the next day, but I can't imagine any local people not showing up because it's a Sunday.

Don't worry, people will come! I don't care what day of the week a wedding is, if I care about the person then I'm there!

Sunday Wedding?

I personally don't LOVE the idea but it has never stopped me from going to someone's on a Sunday afternoon. It is difficult with work but even on a Saturday night, like mine, there are still people who need to take off or make accomodations. It is impossible to make everyone happy so do what suits you.

Sunday Wedding?

I always wanted a Saturday wedding. However, I will be having a Sunday wedding. It is the Sunday before Memorial Day it's a long weekend. Those who love you will come and celebrate this joyous occassion with you no matter what day of the week it is.

Sunday Wedding?

I don't think people wouldn't come! I'd just probably have it earlier in the day so people don't leave earlier to get sleep for work the next day

Don't worry people will come. I have been to plenty of Sunday weddings. I would have had booked my wedding on a sunday, if WM didn't start them cocktail hour so late. we went for a Friday night instead.

Sunday Wedding?

i got married on a sunday night, we had plenty of OOT guests who still came, and only about 25 (out of the 200 ppl) say no.
send out the save the dates and get a hotel block. just give people a lot of time to either take off work if they want to, or make arrangements but the people who care about you WILL be there. even in they have to leave alil early. we only had a handful of people leave early, and when i say early i mean 1/2hr early lol

Thanks ladies! I was so nervous that no one would show up and a lot of girls seem like they are doing Sunday holiday weekends or not Sundays. Mine is not on a holiday weekend! I guess I just over think things sometimes!

Sunday Wedding?

I am also having a Sunday evening wedding and I was concerned about the same things at 1st but I got over it quickly because we saved so much $$ switching from Sat. We realized those that really matter will be there no matter what day or time. Those that won't go because its a Sunday, fine by me. Less peoples plates we'll have to pay for lol

Sunday Wedding?

Agreed! It's also good that you are in the afternoon, because it gives people a chance to have their Sunday evening free for work the next day. Bottom line, those that care and love you, will be there! Congrats!
