Surprise Pregnancy 3 monrhs prior to Wedding!!!

Hello Brides,

My wedding is has been in the planning process for 1.5-2 years now. We just received confirmation that we are 4 weeks pregnant!! We decided to keep the baby. When should we tell our families?

The issues are:
~ If we keep it a secret, I will be 4 months pregnant at the wedding and probably will be showing. (I already went up 2 cup sizes!)

~If we tell my parents, or his, they will tell the whole family before we get to and if I miscarry risk the hurt of everyone be conerned and discussing it at the bridal shower or wedding. We want t

No matter if we divulge or secret, we want to keep the focus on the wedding, and then the baby.

I am so confused... any suggestions?

can you tell your parents with strict secretcy, and then you can announce it at your bridal shower or the wedding?

let them know your really excited to share the news, but that you guys want to be the ones to spread the word?

YAYYYYYYYYYYY how exciting!!! CONGRATS

Dont ever worry about what their feelings are going to be if god forbid, you miscarry! Its about you and your husband and you should be more concerned about your well being right now.

If it were me, I would def. want our parents to know that we are expecting. I dont want to be hiding secrets from anyone. You guys should both be excited and enjoy all of this

Congrats!!!!!

I would tell family and friends at 12 weeks, that's when they say you out of higher risk for miscarriage. So that would be about a month before the wedding.

I think this would be ideal if you think you could beg your parents and fils to keep the secret...

I think you should tell your parents now IF you think they can keep it quiet, if not then tell them at 12 wks, the chances of a miscarriage is decreased substantially. Or tell them right before the shower and then make an announcement at the shower. Congrats, I wish you the best!!!!!

I would tell our parents and make them swear under penalty of death to keep it quiet until after 12 weeks.

You were planning before the pregnancy ppl will have something to say whether ur pregnant or u served 80 proof vodka oppossed to 151 tell ur famil around 3 months and keep it within immediate family

Congrats I think that everything will work out. I agree with the others about telling people. Tell you parents and swear them to secrecy. and don't worry about anyone but you, fh and your new bundle of joy. Congrats again!!

You can make the announcement to everyone at 3 months and honestly- the focus will STILL be on the wedding but with the focus on a beautiful family being formed.

I would say that you definitely want at least your parents to know at this point. They will want to share this with you and you'll want their support. Celebrate this, darling!

There is a bride- don't remember if she was '07 or '08 who was 4 months pregnant on her wedding day- I'll find the album and post on this thread. She looked amazing! Like a radiant Bride- as will you!

Edited to add thread: I found it! She was an '08 Bride and had also been engaged at least a year and a half.

your health and the baby's is whats important right now.. Try to to spread the world until after 3 months.. The stress of everyone PLUS the wedding can hurt your health.. CONGRATTTTTSSSSS!!!!!
