they wont do that... like they want my money, AND the money of the person who is booking on that date... i dunno how to explain it.
the way my mother said it was that even if someone else books on that date, they need a deposit from them... NOT counting the deposit that i already left....
Yeah you can get wedding insurance and honeymoon insurance incase you have to cancel...I think wedsafe or something like that is the name.

Its just so horrible because they know the date will get filled and they wont even offer anything else to you!

It totally *****, but this is why i warn girls about the nassau laws re: deposits!!! and they consider the 2 payments you make down the road as 'deposits' so you'd loose that $$ too!!! Just be thankful you only made 1 deposit![/QUOTE ]
